Is Konami Doing Justice To Metal Gear Solid 3 Remake?

I wouldn't dare touch a new MGS if I were a developer! The safest way they can go is recreate what was established by Kojima and his team.

Konami using Hayter for promotion was a great move. They'll probably use him to voice Solid again if they remake MGS1

I’m an artist and to your question I would say I’d rather work on preexisting masterpieces that need a modern rework. Art is a slow process. They could remake all of them in the time it would take to create a new one on the level of Phantom Pain, and that’s would require Kojima of course. Let’s say I could either paint a wonderful picture that takes me a year, or clean up a Van Gogh in 3 months, I know the world would prefer the Vincent.

The only part of of the game I hope they change is the Cave portion where it's pitch black and its almost like a maze.

It felt Hollywood probably because it was always Kojima’s intention to have a Hollywood actor play snake. I could be mistaken but I don’t think he ever wanted Hayter to voice him. And tbh I thought with the little Sutherland said as Venom he did a great job. To me Hayter was kinda cartoony and fit better with the older generation of consoles/games but when you talk about unreal engine I thought it may be better to capture someone like Keifer Sutherland (or a young Kurt Russell lol). It also kinda soured me in an interview Hayter was asked if he played all the MGS games and his response was “ya the ones I’m in” and I just thought if you’re a fan of the franchise you wouldn’t just play the ones you were part of. Anyway ramble over looks great excited to play it and to (maybe) be proven wrong that Hayter can voice an unreal engine snake lol.
