  • “I don’t play against an opponent - I play against the idea of loosing.” Eric Cantona. Absolute hero of my childhood.

"good lad for a night out" - can you imagine Keano leading the troops into a Wetherspoons on an away trip

Brilliant tribute to Eric from Roy Keane ooh aah Cantona 🙌🏻

Cantona was a catalyst for the whole PL era. Immense influence. Think about this, he was in English football six seasons and won five leagues (one the first division with Leeds). The one season he didn't win was when he was suspended for most of it. Levels of influence, and I say this as a Liverpool supported...and to think Souness turned down bringing him to Liverpool! 🤦

One of the all-time greats. What a player Cantona was. And I'm a Arsenal fan.

Eric was my favourite premiership player in the 90s, Such a superstar!
  • Pains me to say it as a leeds fan but what a man and player king Eric was.. never see characters today not only in football but life. Legend

Cantona was the bridge between the old and new era of English football. If he had played a few years later he'd be lauded higher these days. Extravagant but understated at the same time absolutely world class. And still grossly underrated by neutrals in terms of the impact he had for both Man Utd and the Premier League.

If anyone didnt know why Eric was so good just look at his stats including assists he was good at scoring but his most valualble attribute was his creativity he had 156 games 70 goals and 56 assists

  • @Aitch2020
King Eric will always be loved and remembered at united.

Never underestimate the love and esteem in which Eric Cantona is held by fans at Manchester United. If ever a statue should be erected of any ex-player, the majority of fans would vote for Cantona, over all others. A player who won the French title with Marseille, then the following season with Leeds, then the first of four titles with United, ending 26 years in the wilderness. That season was the start of United's almost total domination, until Ferguson left. United fans all know that first title was thanks to Eric Cantona. Liverpool were offered Cantona and turned Marseille down. We took him from the hated Leeds. There's much talk of club legends at United, and above them all sits King Eric.
  • @RandomnessTube.
Cantona demanded brilliance from the players around him without saying much he turned up in the big moments an absolute cult hero with great balance and skill he played football as an art he will always be my childhood hero.
  • Quality player, great passer, touch, important goals and strong. Should be a statue of him
