The biggest problem is that I don't trust Blizzard to actually "Smooth out" the damage in some of these dungeons. So it will just feel like an overall worse experience for some of the tanks

Imagine: a human being enters a room full of game developers and says "hey, there's only a few people playing the tank role in our game. Can we please make it harder and worse?"

As a guardian main, I'm not super worried about the changes themselves but more worried that blizzard seems to be clueless when it comes to making changes for no reason, or like you said nerfing talents that wouldn't be taken anyway

Anyone that is pro these changes cannot be a tank that pushes keys. It’s already do much work to be a tank that pushes keys. Especially us that tank day 1 of the season. People only see how powerful we are in keys. What they don’t see is all the time spent in MDT studying what adds do what and figuring out what you can and cannot pull together. Also the time learning and perfecting routes. All this extra work results in most people rolling dps for a month to rip the work off of others. So many people choose not to tank because of this extra work and now you’re going to take away the only fun part about the class? This is garbage. All to make healers relevant again? How about taking away all these pointless dmg reduction spells from dps? Reduce amount of defensives from dps? For instance what the hell do you get dmg reduction from mirror image or flash heal? You can make healers relevant without destroying the fun of being a tank. Now it’s the most amount of homework and less fun while playing

nerfing tanks not only makes a tank shortage but it also effects healers too cos who wants to heal a tank made of paper and dps that cant avoid mechanics.

So lets go over this. One of the least played roles with the highest learning curve and most critical to the success of any group is now going to be harder to play with an even steeper learning curve and a nerfed power ceiling. I feel like blizz are incredibly controlling. They have a VERY specific ideal of how people want to play wow and experience the game and they will go through hell and high water to try and deliver their very narrow experience. It's like playing a tabletop DnD session where the GM is railroading the party and telling everyone what skills they will need. Blizz wants tanks to have a very specific experience

So moral of the story - dont pick a main until S1 starts - have a couple or a few characters ready for S1 start - then go from there.

They kinda scuffed it by making such drastic changes so close to release, they won't have time to tune it properly in time

Blizzard: Blood DKs and Venge DHs dont have a shield because they have self healing to mitigate. Also Blizzard: Self healing needs a huge nerf along with every other mitigation

For anyone believing in blizzars to smooth it out, remember the awakened tier set fiasco, where 528 tier << 489 tier even AFTER blizzard "brought it up to par" with other tier sets.

We have a scarce problem with tanks and healers what should be do? Nerf tanks so healers can have even harder job.

I don't really trust Blizzard to do what actually needs to be done to make this a smooth and meaningful update to gameplay.

Was debating switching to tank this coming tier off lock, that shit isnt happening now

Theses changes just show Blizzard have no idea what they are doing. They probably just searched for any healing or damage reduction talent and nerfed them without first trying to understand why a certain talent was, or was not picked. Pulverize nerf? IT WAS NEVER PICKED!

I actually really like that I don't worry about my hp so long as I cycle mitigation properly. It lets me focus on the bigger picture of the dungeon overall.

I was more ok with blizz if they out right removed blood death knight spec , and added a 3rd dk dps spec , these changes are an insult to all bdk mains , i personally gonna skip this expansion if these changes go live
