30 years ago I was touring Scotland (and the UK) on my Harley that I shipped over . I was camped out in the Highlands and woke up one morning making coffee on my camp stove when out over the hills came floating the sound of bagpipes. I could tell they were a long way off but the sound was so hauntingly beautiful ! I had never really appreciated them until that moment. After I broke camp and rode off, I came upon a man out in the middle of nowhere in full regalia playing those pipes. That’s one of my most favorite memories of Scotland. Thank you for this video.

This is the type of music that makes your heart yearn for a homeland you’ve never been to, but hope to return to someday.

I listen to this music and i weep. I weep for myself, as i am a soldier, a destroyer and i will never feel the pride of creating such beautiful artistry.

Now in my eighties, how I appreciate having been born and lived in this land all my life. Been involved in the traditional folk music and in pipe pand scene. I will die a happy man❤

When you live in Scotland, born and bred, it’s easy to take its beauty for granted. Thank you for the reminder that my country is breathtakingly beautiful, and the music it inspires is just as stunning. I wish ye all the best for 2024.
  • Beatutiful and BRAVE SCOTLAND!... its Heroic Flag It waves over the roof of my house in Mexican lands; in Honour of its History!

I left Scotland almost 50 years ago and am now a Scottish-Brazilian or a Brazilian-Scotsman with a Brazilian wife, daughter and granddaughter. Much as I love Brazil, my heart is forever in Scotland. Viva Escócia! Viva o Brasil!

These songs have made me dance and weep.. My tribal Celtic spirit is crazed with fiery passion and love.. Thank you. One day i will go to my ancestral homelands and reconnect to the wisdom and history forgotten in my family tree, until then. BRAVE HEARTS!! Sarah Henry, Campbell Clan. NZ.

My Grandmother RIP & Dad are from Aberdeen . I was born in New Zealand but for some reason I always get goosebumps listening to bagpipe or Scottish Celtic music
  • as an international student in 2008 to 2014,I came to Canada for university, during graduation ceremony the sound of bagpipe starts, i quickly draw attention to it, and it motivated me until today. it is like the sound itself speaks to me, telling me to go forward, never quit, when you hit a wall, find solutions, bypass it , and keep going ! After graduate, i went back to my home country to chase my dream. I now own an animation studio in china , a beautiful wife and a daughter. I am very thankful and emotionally attached to bagpipe. The pandemic didnt beat me, the market crash didnt beat me, the whole startup thing didnt beat me, all thanks to the sound of bagpiples, it gives me strength! I didn't know where it original come from , but i do now. Thank you . Hope one day i could visit this beautiful place like the video here shows.
  • I, personally would like to dedicate this beauty to my late Mum who was born and raised in Scotland. She served as a Wren in the Royal Navy. Respect Mum. Thank you for being you.

I listen to it several times a day! What amazing melodies! I am part Celtic, though I am Cuban, this music resonates in my soul and prepares me everyday in the mornings for battle and at night for soothing respite...God bless you!

I've always loved the Bagpipes...to me they're so Spiritually transcendent & so hypnotic...they would be the most beautiful piece of instrument ever made. 🥰❤️
  • @thomashermanns351
I'm German and visited Scotland by motorcycle last year and I have to say, in my heart I must be scottish! The music reminds me of the Green hills, the rough weather and sea and the endless blue sky with big clouds!
