Oh my gosh we used to go and rent a vhs every week and I chose this one every time! I was so in love with this movie as a kid!
  • OMG the memories. I had this movie and several Care Bears episodes on tape as a kid. I also had the paper dolls for this. Good times. Quick edit: The paper dolls for this were absolutely beautiful. Anyone interested even a little should look them up. 🤩💖
  • I used to rent this VHS a lot from my video store. This is definitely one of those things that doesn't hold up unless you've taped your nostalgia goggles to your head. Little me had no taste lol

Thank You Thank You Thank You for this upload! IT took me years to figure out the name of this one, after I remembered it, I've Looked for years for this since! Once in a while found a worn out vhs copy on ebay but I was either afraid to take the chance or the cost was outrageous! Plus the last of the dinosaur VHS players I still had killed out and I don't know or think they're even made anymore lol maybe I can get a copy burned to a disc, but this upload alone is fantastic! it suffice enough for me! This is among several others like JEM & The Holograms, Sweet Sea, Moon Dreamers, Rose Petals Place, Popples, Pound Puppies & Pound Kitties, not so much cabbage patch kids (they creeped me out tho I had several of the dolls lol) ,The Get a long Gang, Care Bears, Glow Worms, Alvin and the Chipmunks (anyone else have them on vinyl?) Strawberry Shortcake & Friends, Herself The Elf, etc plus some of the early 80s Christmas cartoons along with this and those mentioned were & are my absolute top 10 of my CHILDHOOD FAVES!!!! (and probably beyond that bc there's more than I realized that I'd love to own or see again that I'm suddenly remembering now!) There's others that I remember but they're fuzzy in my memory like the Hug-a-Bunches, Oh and Lady Lovely Locks (I think was the name) I had several dolls from each of the cartoons I've mentioned, gosh how I wish I still had them! I remember some sad kids cartoons that were released by the same company as this the Family Home Entertainment films, I remember the fhe that scrawls out at the beginning, like THE WHITE SEAL, SAD! & The Little Mermaid, a version that is so far opposite of the happy Disney one we all know, SAD! also the Velveteen Rabbit,SAD! cartoon would make me cry as a kid everytime, I felt for all those toys they burned dammit! Lol You can find JEM, My Little Pony, Rainbow Bright & several others that were mostly series on DVD now, and I'm thankful, I guess bc they were more popular plus they were series, but I wish I could find this on DVD and others like Sweet Sea (I saw someone has uploaded it too since my last search and I'm ecstatic!), I'm enjoying the 5 year old me right now!. These kid movies were only like 30 mins but seemed so much longer back then lol Anyway, thank you so much once again! This is AWESOME!!! Nostalgia is such a bittersweet place, but I've learned to appreciate and respect it! ❤️ MUCH PEACE & LOVE TO MY FELLOW 80S KIDS OUT THERE!✌🏼☮️✌🏾 Good to know I'm not alone on loving this little cartoon. most ppl I've asked about it didn't know what I was talking about, everyone said I made it up in my imagination, but I knew it was real, thanks for the proof!!!😃 OMG, I made it to the end of the cartoon and forgot about Charmkins and The Smurfs, and Centaurs or something like that, does anyone remember an 80s cartoon where there where half human half horse 🐎 am I crazy on this one?
  • What a wonderfully beautiful entertainment. I love that movie, showing and telling me stories of fairies. It was released four years before I was born. I never knew it was there until now. This is my first discovery of the star fairies and I love them. Spice, Jazz, True Love, Night Song, and Whisper are the five fairies with the wands to do magic, led by Princess Sparkle, ruler of the land of Wishcometrue. And that flying unicorn (alicorn) named Lavender is gorgeous to be seen. When people around the world make a wish, the little fairies can grant them, no matter how old they are. Not only are fairies wise and fun-loving, but they are also eternally strong, childlike, young, and beautiful. I wish I was one of them this way with all my heart.
  • This special was aired in 1985, and it was an unsold pilot for an animated series made by HB. But unfortunately, it was released on DVD and Blu-Ray as part of the Warner Archive series, because “Star Fairies” was based on a toy line made by Tonka, but it was folded into Hasbro in the 1990’s.

Yay thank you so much for this ! One of my favorites 💜
  • It's getting to where I can't tell the difference between Hanna Barbera and Ruby Spears.
