More about Gurudwara Bangla Sahib & its Langar & Kada Prasad:
Gurudwara Bangla Sahib is one of the most prominent Sikh gurdwara, or Sikh house of worship, in Delhi, and is known for its association with the eighth Sikh Guru, Guru Har Krishan. The complex of Gurudwara Bangla Sahib includes a large holy pond, temple, a kitchen, a school and a huge art gallery. As practiced in all Gurudwaras all over the world, here too Langar (holy vegetarian food) is practised. The food for the langar is prepared by Gurusikhs who work in gurudwara. Volunteers are always welcome to help in serving food to the devotees. Generally, Hindus from any religion are welcome inside Gurudwara and no discrimination is made in their coming inside and praying.

So, if Amritsar’s Golden Temple is too far for you, but you want to have a close enough experience of a gurudwara & langar, you know where to head!

Address: Bangla Sahib Rd, Near GPO General Post Office, Hanuman Road Area, Connaught Place, New Delhi - 110001

Only 2% community but har Sikh Dil dar hai salute Sikh brothers
  • I went for an online banking examination in Thane. There were huge number of parents including my elder brother had came and standing outside in the sun. There was a Gurudwara beside the examination centre. Few sikhs came outside and served tea and biscuit snacks to all the parents. The gesture of serving the people by their whole heart always overwhelms us. ~ Love from Maharashtra ❣️
