I think at the showcase against the Ikki, the attack crit because of extra stats. Like at 100% crit rate, and then some a buff allowed the attack to try to crit. Since the text is reduce the chance of taking crits by 100%, instead of can’t take critical hits, if the attacker has a net 110% chance to deal a crit, they’ll have a 10% chance to crit the spirit aegis person. That’s my thwory

Honestly People don't seem to realize just how Evil This is going to be. Him, Triki and Anna are a Triforce of Pure Destruction. Chu renews all debuff's and Reduces: Crit rate, Def And Attack, as well as taking care of all crit rates from the enemy + Reduced final damage from enemys but more taken themselfs the more debuffs they have . Triki Causes several debuffs himself and punishes curing them. And as stated in the Video Anna becomes basically Immortal because the enemy is severly weakend, can't crit, She gets healed of Debuffs when attacked.

It’s interesting that in the patch that there is a new shimmer legend, the non-shimmer legend is the stronger and more flexible esper. In the long run, WuYou maybe will get better with more defender type epsers, but until that happens, the star of this patch is ChuYao definitely.

So what your saying is, mavis/archibald/JQ true damage supremacy continues 😂 But seriously though, this is such an interesting mechanic/buff and such a good counter for Wu You (and obviously other espers too, but I like that a good counter to her comes in the same patch). Looking forward to testing him out myself :D Funny though how the fighter Taiyi is more of a support and smn like feng xun is more of a fighter xD

You forgot to mention his R6 where he permanently reduces Atk. Meaning, anyone with Spirit Aegis takes MUCH LESSER damage.

I’m absolutely terrified of r6 chu yao, he basically makes atk scaling and shields useless and a lot of true damage characters rely on atk. The only character I can think of that stops him is hailey who always crits and damages/heals with def.
