Te Whai Hiringa Planter Box Celebration

On a rainy Wednesday morning in late May, Hastings District Council’s Parks and Recreation team prepared the planter boxes for tamariki to add their plants to. Team members from Topline Contracting, NZTA Waka Kotahi, Stantec, artist Darryl Thomson and Council met at Te Whai Hiringa kura for a special mihi. They listened to speeches and waiata from students to celebrate and acknowledge all the amazing mahi that went into this project and share what it meant to their school community.
