My lil story. I came to inherit a small amount of money and I said to myself that I was going to treat myself with some beautiful large vases like the ones you showed in the beginning of this video. Well, WELL I went to price the ones I wanted……. No,no,not going to do that. I knew Jorge, my new best DIY, would show me what to do!!! Off to get my supplies! Thank you Jorge!!🤗

I like the way the thinned paint runs down the planter.

Great teaching and beautiful pots!! You really explain and video the process and problems well. Thank you so much for not having music playing when you are teaching. It is so nice to not have music, which can be very distracting and annoying .
  • Hi Jorge. You mentioned that you don’t like popping balloons. If you poke the balloon with a skewer (or sharp object) right next to where the knot is, it shouldn’t pop. It should slowly deflate as soon as you take the skewer out. A high school science teacher taught me that lol😂
  • “Oh my….it’s looking like crap”! Says every crafter everywhere at least once during a project! They turned out gorgeous! I can’t wait to give this a try.
  • Enjoy so much! I can't find what I want for outdoors planters, so I'm going to make my own. Got a lot of good info from you. I'm an old lady who sews. One tip I think you will love. Draw 2 lines on your right pointer finger, below the knuckle. Space them to how far apart you want the little blocks, lines of rope, etc., to be on the item you are preparing to cement, paint, paper clay, etc. When you glue what ever you are applying the little items to, ie vase, these lines, items etc. will be perfectly spaced by what you marked on your pointer finger. I use a sharpie to draw said marks. Little dots will do if you can see it good enough. Old sewing hack that didn't cost a penny but something I do for all my art and craft projects. Thanks again for the instructional videos.
  • You are saving my broke but trying to level up a**. Getting that champagne on a water budget.
  • Jorge, You are so amazing!!! I know there are many other DIY videos out there, but your humility and genuineness shows thru your videos and your creations, thank you so much for sharing your beautiful ideas with the world 💜

Thank you saying this is not an indoor project. It’s over 100 degrees here in AZ so I will be holding off on this project until later this year when it’s cool.

I bet you'd love a ceramics class. You just seem to have a natural talent for making beautiful things!

I love Jorge, "It looks like crap but trust the process." I've been working with cement for years and it is by NO means instant gratification. It takes time to do this sort of craft. Awesome work.
  • You’ve inspired me, to make smaller ones. Thank you for this fun video. I love all the ones you’ve made. I could be your grandmother because I’m a senior citizen. I make bracelets, and give them away to ones that are nice to me.
