Now this is a showdown I'm excited for. The world needs more 2WD. And budget comparisons are great for new comers to the hobby. My money is on the Arrma, I'm a fan lately.
  • @mitsuman5555
I enjoyed the shots from under the vehicles. Fun to watch the suspension work!
  • @offsetrc
Loving the camera shots on the side of the truck seeing the suspension doing its thing was good to see as it shows how much that suspension is actually working nice m8 nice ๐Ÿ‘
  • Seriously thanks for everything you do for the rc community!! U the man!!! Keep up the good work my dude!
  • This was brilliant Phil. More enjoyable then some muppet taking a perfectly functioning RC and decimating it in the name of durability. I worked in a hobby shop a few years back, and we had customers always asking "Whats the best..." I'm not a Traxxas hater nor an Arrma fanboy, so I didn't have any issues with how everything scored. But I do like that Jumpshot SC as well.

Very good video and a fair conclusion. However, I don't completely agree. The Jumpshot is the cheapest, with the highest spec. To me, that's the definition of "value for money". I'd have put that as 1st for VFM, with the Gorgon 2nd. This would have left the HPI & Arrma on an even 13 points, which I think it absolutely spot-on: one is faster, lots of fun out of the box and more bash-orientated, but the spec is low. The other has a more premium feel and higher specs, but needs money spent to make it quick. To me, that's a 50/50. Cheers!

I was wondering why traxxas didn't lower the body of the stampede a little bit(1-2 cm). It would have been much more beautiful. You can try that Phil in some way. PS: I love those competition videos ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘!!!
  • @allanritchie1539
Typical Traxxas, it's always the little bits that break first. Still like the Jumpshot more on the looks side, although given the choice after your review I would take the HPI anyway, brushless of course.๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ˜Š

I've always had a soft spot for HPI stuff - I think it's because I had an RS4 which got me back into RC cars back in the day :)
  • @MasterShake300
Such a great and helpful video! Thank you so much man! Love the accent!
  • Another great video! Would love to see your comparison between Maxx, Kraton/Outcast, and something like the Skeeter or whatever you think is comparable. Thanks!
  • @juddvansickle
Stampede: Lower the body (cut the posts) and it looks waaaay better IMO.
  • @emorhc37
Great video!! Loved all the under vehicle footage!! Awesome!!
  • @alantaylor353
A pretty good comparison.!! The way this hobby is going we're all going to be driving budget RCs.!๐Ÿ˜‰ ๐Ÿ˜‰ ๐Ÿ˜‚ ๐Ÿ˜‚

The team associated Rival MT10 kit is 250 USD, was 200 at christmas and comes with everything needed including a albeit slow but still works USB charger. I added a 25 dollar gool RC brushless ESC and motor and order a GOOLRC B6AC charger and just at 250 grand total. This was my Step-sons christmas gift and hes having a tough time trying to break it.
  • @jdsrcs8061
I do like your comparison vids. Since you are correct that there are tons of trucks in this segment, you should do a few more 3 car shoot outs and then do a final winner round !!!๐Ÿค˜๐Ÿค˜
  • @doubledome2076
Great comparison!! I think I'll have to get a Gorgon- change the speed pinion and be good. Another great oneโ€ผ๏ธ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿฆพ๐Ÿฆพ๐Ÿค˜๐Ÿค˜
  • @janklaassen6404
Hold on. HPI does 3S which the others can't. It did 16mph, while the others did 24mph. 1,5 x 16 = 24. It's probably geared for 3S, so you should test it on 3S too I think. 2S is like the beginner speed for the HPI.

Great video, Phil. Very honest, unbiased info in my opinion. I like them all. I have the Gorgon and love it. And Iโ€™ve had a few stampedes in my life (nitro way back in the late 90โ€™s) and loved them too. I really wanted to love the jumpshot so I could convince myself I needed one. ๐Ÿคฃ Cause it really does look awesome. But, it was just soooo slow. Iโ€™m not one to get hung up on how fast a lot of these can go. But the Stampede and the Gorgon were just on another level compared to it. Even on 3s it looked slow. Thanks for these types of vids, Phil. ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿผ ๐Ÿ˜Ž I always enjoy them.
