The NEW ARMY UNIFORM OCP vs ACU!

SGT Masibay, They are both considered ACU's (Army Combat Uniform). Per AR-670-1 The correct names are ACUs in UCP ( Universal Camouflage Pattern) and OCP (Operational Camouflage Pattern) respectively.

I called it 10 years ago that the army wouldn't stick with ACU. Surprised it took em so long.

Sergeant don't wanna sound like an annoying private but OCP's are in fact ACU's. The correct title of this video would be OCP's vs UCP's because both of them are considered ACU's(Army Combat Uniform) For you that don't know UCP = Universal Camo Pattern OCP = Operational Camo Pattern

I really liked the grey ACUs I know they didn't really blend in but they looked really cool to me idk.

The ACU may not have blended in with much but it did have a pretty cool look to it

I was in the Army when they were phasing out BDU’s with the ACU’s. I remember when we deployed to Iraq, while we were in Kuwait we had to do some mandatory training before being flown in. I remember standing there in the desert, thinking Jesus Christ I stand out like a sore thumb wearing these ACU’s. But the guys wearing the old DCU’s actually were kind of blending in with the environment.

I wore Woodland BDUs, 1986 - 1992. I am glad to see the Army went back to a camouflage uniform. The OCP looks just as effective as the BDU, maybe even more effective. That ACU, though, geez. I think the ACU might camouflage you if you were standing against a fireplace full of ashes, other than that I can't imagine light greens and light greys hiding you from anything else. Also, I never thought I would be saying this, but I miss the look of the black leather boots. The non-shine boots just lack the traditional military look.

I like those acu pants more just for what they have on them pocket wise , they both look sweet . you should do a pt supply video where you show what is worn for pt

OCP hands down. The only think that I don't like at all about that uniform is the zipper shoulder pockets, I prefer the velcro ones from the UCP & Multicam ACUs.

I just got a set of OCP's from Propper. I was used to the design of the digital pattern ACU's so a couple of differences jumped out at me, namely the design of the shoulder pockets and the collar, plus how you adjusted the sleeve cuffs with buttons instead of velcro strips.

i got the same Acu u use. i love it, have used it for quite some time, and i does the job.
