Gday everyone. I'm super excited to announce that building is now in the game!! Finally. This was huge update and was the most complex thing in terms of game design I have ever done. Thank you all for the support :)

Building:
You can now build using a variety of voxel tools.

Shapes:
There are various procedural shapes that you can use to quickly build with. These include: Box, Capsule, Cylinder, Cone, Hexagon, Hexagonal Cone, Path and Sphere.

Prefabs:
There a many prefab objects that you can build with. These include: Slopes, Windows, Fences etc.

Props:
You can decorate your builds with a variety of props. These include: Tables, Chairs, Barrels, Crates, Candles, Couches, Doors, Beds, Bookshelves and more.

Resource Collection:
Resources can now be harvested using their respective tools. E.g hammer for stone, axe for wood etc.

The building community is salivating by the buckets.

You better be beyond proud of yourself because this is stunning! Even ignoring the fact that you've literally created the entire game itself, your building skills are beautiful!

No joke, no meme. I'm gonna say it, it's actually Minecraft 2, even better than i could have imagined. Some Terraria and even Cube World vibes too. Please, keep us posted. I'm fully invested in the progress.

I suggest adding a ticking sound every time you’re moving a prefab around and when adjusting an unplaced object’s dimensions, it would add some extra satisfaction and intuition to building.

This is exactly what gaming needs right now. People who solve extremely difficult technical and UX related problems out of passion, those that even AAA studios can't solve. This wouldn't be possible without really good optimization. Having a fill tool and ready shapes are really good decisions for building. Good stuff, really looking forward for this game.
  • This feels like the Minecraft we never got. Feels so nostalgic and looks so smooth, combine that with the soundtrack and this game is pretty much perfect. Definitely should have a copy paste feature, where you can copy certain structures and paste them somewhere else, to make things flow better when building

This is your reminder to add this to your wishlist in the pinned comment because this is actually fire

As a Minecraft builder who wishes for more thin builds I'm deeply intrigued by this, and i also noticed the storage by the thousands, neat.

Those building tools look immensely useful! But also like a lot of menu diving. Maybe the ability to save your own prefabs, or to copy/paste could solves that.

I feel like this is a game designers DREAM, amazing voxel simulation with whole pallettes to explore, id love to just be designing and implimenting dungeons and various structures with the building. Genuinely amazing work ive been exploring your other videos and it's amazing! Keep up the amazing work

I've just now discovered your channel, and I don't know what this game is like beyond this revolutionary building system, but I'd imagine it'd make a great MMO RPG where the main focus isn't to become as powerful as possible, but rather to do whatever you want. Servers could work differently, too. Instead of being able to simply create a world you can choose from one of few other servers. That way, people could work together to build things that affect the entire community of the game, rather than just a small group of friends. It's a new and abstract kind of idea for a game, but it would make for a great one.

Woooow! I'm stuned by the fact how detailed can be the construction. We are all used to blocky builings from Minecraft and clones, but your game redefines buildings in voxel worlds. Amazing work!

This is every minecraft and teardown fan's dream come true, would love to see copy/paste (for tiling a roof pattern) and the ability to click and drag the prefab shapes! Wishlisting immediately :)

Saw this video 2 days ago and played it for the first time today. Absolutely incredible! I can’t wait to see where you take it. You really do have something special here
  • The ambience, the music, the graphics, the textures, all are so perfect that it feels it was custom made for my brain to feel comfort! Thanks a lot! Your are extremely talented... I wish you have the best of luck with this project!
  • @onionjam
I've been building in minecraft for the past 14years, your game is cleary what minecraft should have become and I'm really into your work and wanting to play it.
  • @timelordsalad
