If you rely on serious diesel power, AMSOIL diesel oils and bypass filtration systems provide the protection you need to fight wear and extend engine life. Inside your engine, soot particles smaller than a human hair are attacking your turbo, cams, and bearings

It is up to your diesel oil and filtration system to protect these critical components and maintain your diesel power. Unfortunately, no matter how good your oil and filter, some dirt and soot will contaminate your engine.

Diesel pickups come equipped with a full-flow filtration system. All the oil required to properly lubricate your engine flows through the filter fast enough to properly maintain proper operation and achieve sufficient oil cleanliness. These full-flow filters remove particles from the oil large enough to cause catastrophic damage (typically 20 microns or larger) but they allow smaller particles to get through and circulate inside your engine, causing wear.

The solution to this issue is the AMSOIL bypass filtration system. These systems feature a second filter that eliminates most solid contaminates from diesel oil. Watch to find out how the AMSOIL bypass system sets the standard.

  • Thanks you for your outstanding By-Pass oil filter, it is helping me cry!
  • @robsauer1262
Amsoil has different By-Pass configurations that can be used for gas engine or hydraulic oil applications. I have been using By-Pass filtration on my diesel trucks accompanied by oil analysis and have extended my oil drain intervals far beyond that of the OEM recommendations.

great video.. i am running this system and have never got the oil to go clear again like in the video but i think this is because in the demo when it is switched over to the by pass filter its running 100% not 10%. still its better than nothing.

I would like one for my 2020 Silverado. I don’t see one on your site. Should I get the universal kit?
  • @eh235
Seen this system hooked up to a 6.7 cummins with new amsoil and filter, within 1000k miles the oil was as black as it was before adding an amsoil bypass filter system. Just change your oil every 4k-5k
  • @psd28
    Can i do this to a 6.9/7.3 idi ?
  • @JonLIsALoser
I’m planning on order one for my 2015 duramax but you have a dual filter bypass and a single which cost more..so which ones better?

  • can gas engines ues this filter also , i have a vw non desiel my deisel jetta cam went out i had to scrap the car
  • Will this product lower oil pressure to the engine and cause damage from lack of lubrication

Nearly all commercial diesel engines are equipped with a bypass oil filter from the factory to extend oil changes due to soot loading. A pore blockage PARTICLE COUNT on your oil analysis report will determine if fine particles are a problem requiring removal by this system, most engines don't need the additional filtration unless oil changes are extended beyond the OEM recommendation.. This same demonstrator was used thirty years ago as an illusion.
  • It can’t remove all the particles greater than 2 micron. Why? Because one is likely generating enough fine soot that one is re-adding soot to the oil as it’s being cleaned. . One question is how many engine hours does it take for the filter to catch up and remove say 50% or the soot from the last lead foot.
