Thanks for allowing us to share your inspiring work in our Short Film Showcase! "A New View of the Moon" is an inspiring piece, and we can’t wait to see how you’ll continue to explore and illustrate the wonders of the universe. 🌒
  • I can't be the only person that started crying while watching this..
  • I cry very big tears each time I watch this video. I come back to this video whenever I need to feel "present" with every person on our planet. Thank you so much, Alex. This is such a gift.
  • "it's a great reminder that we should look up more often" - me looking down watching this on my phone
  • What a beautiful video. Really makes me happy to see so many different people excited like kids again.
  • I’ve studied the moon my entire professional life. In pictures. But when I look at the moon in my telescope, I have the same reaction.
  • One of my favorite videos on all of YouTube. Everything, from the music to the narration to the cinematography, is really well done. First time I saw it I was not prepared for the emotional response that I had. I was expecting just a nice video of some guy on the street looking through a telescope. To see so many different people's wonderment and joy brought tears to my eyes. I like to come back to this video every now and then when I'm feeling a bit exasperated with how bad we sometimes treat each other. Space can be a great unifier and give people a sense of hope - if the will just look up!
  • I am just 1 tiny comment among a sea of comments, but what you have shared with others is a gift they will remember forever. I remember seeing the moon through a telescope for the first time. The chills, the wonder, the awe; it has stayed with me through all these years.
  • @ENDESGA
You guys upload like once a millennia, but it’s so worth it
  • Made me shed a tear at the joy you brought those people and also how ignorant so many of us are of the simple things in life.
  • I love those first reactions. Reminded me of when I was around 20 and took a telescope to the backyard and saw Saturn's rings for the first time so close. It was truly breathtaking.
  • Late but this also brought some tears to my eyes. Having everyone become ecstatic viewing something so common as the moon in more detail, knowing that any human will feel joy from simply viewing the moon, is incredible. I have faith that everyone will have the opportunity to get out there one day and touch what we can only see today.
  • Occasionally I feel an immense love for humanity and I feel hope for the future. This video did that for me.
  • Very good. "Remember to look up at the stars and not down at your feet." Stephen Hawking RIP
  • @skempka
brings tears to my eyes... especially in today's climate... so good to see people getting along ;) love this! thank you so much
  • I love you for this. My brother in law had the same reaction when I showed him the moon with my little Orion. last spring. The first time I saw something through a telescope was in College. It was Saturn. I stepped away and cried.
  • Great work. Just imagine if these folks could be in a dark sky zone. The Milky Way would life changing.
  • The Music is "Claire de Lune", a very beautiful and fitting piece of music. :)
