As much as I appreciate YouTube for its content, the site’s algorhythms have ruined many a potential career as evidenced by the singer of this song, who I’m just now hearing for the very first time even though the majority of her clips have been here for 10 years or more and I’ve been here on this site on a daily basis for just as long. Now hearing Gentle Eyes, I’m in a state of shock, finding one of the best singers I’ve ever heard and seeing that many of her clips don’t even have 100 views. What the He11 is up with YouTube? Why not more views? Obviously, if she is only today being offered to me, the same thing is happening to most, if not all viewers. I can guarantee that if she had been available to all, her following would be in the thousands, at the very least. Cripes, there’s a preteen violinist that YouTube had been putting a half dozen of more of her clips everytime I come on to the site. I’ve only watched her once but see that many of the clips have hundreds of thousands of views. I feel so bad for the Gentle Eyes and others like her; it seems so unfair.
