This Game Was Meant To Be The Elder Scrolls Killer...

After releasing in 2006, Oblivion was seen as an unstoppable force, a game that truly deserved to be on top - But in 2007, a game would be released that would attempt to correct that. That game is Two Worlds... and its interesting.

Two Worlds is, in my opinion, a really fun game that I could spend endless hours playing, but its not a well-made game. There's tonnes of bugs, graphical issues, story plotholes and even some bad Voice acting. But it's a game thats dear to me, so I wanted to show it off.

DONT WORRY, more Fallout 4 with only Tiles videos are coming soon, along with a few other challenges sprinkled in. Enjoy.

Fallout 4 With Tiles Part 2 will be coming out next so dont worry. In the meanwhile, enjoy watching me play one of the most broken and messy games on the market. Also subscribe or I'll force you to play the game too :_Salute:

When I was a kid, I saw Two Worlds at Gamestop and thought it looked cool. I brought it up to the register and the employee told me to get Oblivion instead. I took his advice, and I still think about that king to this day.

I think a protagonist that constantly spouts one-liners and has a really hot sister is exactly what The Elder Scrolls is missing
  • @IAmDdie1
It feels like the sister was originally written and designed as the PC's wife. Then, near the end of developing, someone from higher up said to make it the PC had a sister instead of a wife. My intuition is from the constant in-laws quips and the way they interact with each other

I enjoyed ignoring the main quest in this game and instead making my way further south while leveling up and gathering loot, I think exploring a fantasy world is the greatest joy in open world RPGs

Two worlds 2 magic is a whole other level of fun. You can literally summon a cyclone of anvils around you

Every time a game brands itself as the killer of the top game of a genre it is doomed to fail. Every single time

This "bad game" genuinely looks more fun than most modern rpgs and the freedom they give you is crazy, i miss that era of gaming when it was all about having simple fun and being creative instead of grinding levels and loot boxes most modern games feel like they were created to waste as much of your time and money as possible
  • @SirDankleberry
Wait isn't this the game where you can get the main bad guy to aggro the villagers and watch as they just slaughter him with numbers?
  • @Jokoko2828
Ah yes, the game where if you kept taping sticks together you'd get a world-destroying weapon that can one-shot everything. The alchemy and magic systems were also borked to all hell.
  • @Wingslapped
I appreciate the layers of symbolism. The over sexualized sister, and the brother rescuing her with a gigantic phallic bone.

I just remember the sequel that let you choose whatever playstile you like until the final boss who's only vulnerable to ranged damage meaning if you skilled melee you are just left standing there like an absolute schmuck while getting blasted by a flying dragon.

I can see why this never became an 'Oblivion-Killer' game but I think it's very charming and they put effort into it. And the fact that some things are broken like traps just adds to the fun. I'll definitely play it myself some time.

I had friends in high school that genuinely loved these games and argued it was the best RPG of all time

If you ever want to try Two Worlds 2, that one is actually kinda fun. It is like, still terrible on the story but it has possibly the most fun magic system Ive seen in an RPG

I played this game for hundreds of hours. My brother and cousins did too and we sincerely loved it. We all understood how hilariously absurd it often is and we loved it for it. It was so fun to take advantage of the insane mechanics and stuff too. Two Worlds was a masterpiece
  • @Palendrome
Honestly looks like it gives you a lot more freedom than most of the modern open world games
  • @Ninosai
I loved two worlds when I played it at the time of release because of the jank. I had found that you could fuse weapons together if they were the same type of weapons and merge their stats together while increasing the damage. So you could gather a massive amount of the same weapons and gradually turn a simple weapon into a godly tool that did tens of thousands of damages with all elemental effects. I never did finish the game though, too busy faffing around and exploring everywhere.

The funny thing is, that myself and almost every of my steam friends have a copy of it just tied to our accounts. Don't know then, don't know why, but this game just materialized itself in our libraries, because why not
