Nas has been popping off in these recent years, love the comeback.
  • Legends like Sean Price, Cypress Hill, DMX, OutKast, or Ice Cube not making the cut seems a bit surreal.

Nas being able to even be considered for best album three years in a row in 20-22 is amazing and beautiful to see
  • respect you opinion, but i would change some albums 1988: Straight Outta Compton - NWA 1995: Me Against The World - 2Pac 1998: Capital Punishiment - Big Pun 2000: Marshall Mathers LP - Eminem 2002: The Eminem Show - Eminem 2004: Kiss Of Death - Jadakiss 2005: The Documentary - The Game edit after much answers: Guys, it's just my opinion. you don't have to kill me
  • It is amazing how Nas still makes albums and is almost 50 and they are almost as good as albums like illmatic and it was written, im surprised he hasn’t retired yet.

I love GangStar but that year (1998) belong to the Legendary DMX! He dropped TWO classics that same year!

Gotta give 98 to DMX man, aint nobody saying gang starr had that year
  • The forever story should’ve been the 2022 AOTY. There’s a few other things I’d change but overall a solid list

Nailed the early albums. There’s a few I don’t agree with in the later years, but I would say for the most part this is pretty accurate.

Damn, that NAS "Lost Tapes"! 🔥🔥🔥 Great line up. 👍👍

It’s interesting how many of the albums became more legendary over time, but maybe didn’t feel as important at the time. Great list! LL Cool J’s Radio was the first hip hop album I ever owned.
  • How the hell is DMX not on this list. Shout out to my best rapper Nas. Still killing the mic in 2022.

Nice man, I respect your pick for 2018. I’ve always considered Daytona to be the best album of 2018, and one of the bests of the decade. God Bless❤️
  • Great list, enjoyed this. I disagree with quite a few picks, but every album noted were gems nonetheless.

This sums up every year of rap for me as far as my favorite albums. Would love a favorite mixtape list. Great vid!

As a diehard 90s rap fan, I think that straight outta compton should have been the best selling album of 1988, albums didnt have as much recognition as straight outta compton did
