It is amazing how Nas still makes albums and is almost 50 and they are almost as good as albums like illmatic and it was written, im surprised he hasn’t retired yet.

Nailed the early albums. There’s a few I don’t agree with in the later years, but I would say for the most part this is pretty accurate.

It’s interesting how many of the albums became more legendary over time, but maybe didn’t feel as important at the time. Great list! LL Cool J’s Radio was the first hip hop album I ever owned.

As a diehard 90s rap fan, I think that straight outta compton should have been the best selling album of 1988, albums didnt have as much recognition as straight outta compton did
