The Daubenhorn via ferrata is the longest in Switzerland, graded K5 (extremely difficult). It is made of 2,000 metres of steel cable, 215 metres of ladder and a couple of steel cable bridges.
It took me more than 4 hours to complete and was really demanding. After reaching the top, the way down leads across a snowfield and then through the scenic Lämmerenboden Valley back to Gemmi.

what is the meaning of "solo climb" in context of via ferrata? Withouth protection?
  • @bryans6669
Thank you for taking me on this journey. I couldnt do this in the real world , unfortunately because of illness and also a fear of heights-but you made it possible me so a BIG thanks to you. Queens NY.
  • I really admire those people who installed the wire and steps on the cliffs. A scary job i wouldn`t do if you paid me a million dollars. Those guys or girls are the true heroes.
  • @Douken
It looks very safe and at the same time terrifying.
  • Wow! This is a real spectacular ferrata. Very nice filmed and also a lot of respect for the builders.
  • @frisk151
Incredible... All the work that went into that route, the safety lines, ladders, etc.. Thanks for sharing!
  • @GordonPavilion
Yeah! Fantastic climb!!! Got to hand it to those who placed the cables, ladders and pegs though… mind blowing!!!
  • Amazing, thank you for filming and posting. Felt the urge to tap the sign to thank the Swiss, glad you did too :)

  • This is amazing for along time have wanted to do this. From time to time I have depression but I feel experiencing something like this would be life changing. Would love to come along with you on your next climb. This is great to watch. Thanks for your video..

Amazing - I need to watch this a couple more times - but after my heart rate comes down from the “skyrocket” zone - thank you so much for posting this , so friggin cool

Thank you! Great video. We did the ferrata, but so far nothing can show the heights and difficulty as you have captured!

Truly sublime. Even watching your video coverage creates the thrill, exhilaration and challenge if your climbing achievements. Thanks so much for the additional efforts to create this professional video during the climb. 🙏
  • The most terrifying "easy climb" I've ever seen. Even with the cables and iron it's still a relatively big accomplishment. Congrats!
  • @mrmbjones
Watched this twice. Incredible, so inspiring, and also makes my heart race just watching it!! Great video, well done, thank you :)
  • Congratulations my friend, the climb is a true marvel but the work of recording and editing it is also very good to show us all the effort that must be made to overcome this impressive route. 👏👏👏👏👏👏
  • I was mesmerized by your bold adventure. The scarry part was the path you took a vertical climb and I felt weak kneed. More than HATS OFF TO YOUR COURAGE AND SPIRIT OF ADVENTURE. I AM WONDERING HOW THE PATH WITH THE ROPE (metallic cable) AND LADDERS WERE MADE IN THE FIRST PLACE AND THE HOW YOU SET UP THE CROSS. I WOULD RATHER HAVE A HELICOPTER DROP ME REAL GENTLY ON A FLAT PLACE BY THE CROSS 😀😃. THE SURROUNDINGS ARE WONDERFULLY BEAUTIFUL. WATER STREAMS MADE ME FEEL THIRSTY - PURE AND MINERALIZED. TAKE CARE.
  • Thank you for sharing. Very well filmed giving a real feeling of the challenge, difficulty and beauty of this climb 🧗‍♀️
