I hate when young musicians huff and puff and think that’s making them play louder or scream. If you go look at FAMU or NCA&T videos you rarely find brass players huffing and puffing to play a note. All it take is scales and lip Slurring exercises to play loud and still keep a good posture. The buggy and puffing is actually hurting your sound.
