Backyard aquaponics in St. Thomas, Jamaica

First time watching, thanks for a lovely video

i am happy to see fellow jamaicans doing aquaponics and hydroponics i have been studying it for quite some time and trying to introduce fomers to a better life style... P.S i love fish ill have mines steam :)

Nice set up am sure this could spearhead the way to better farming in Jamaica due to the fact that dried weather affect farming on a white scale.

Fresh fish for dinner always sounds good ... If I may offer a suggestion, is there any way you could add a sump tank to your system and place the pump in that?  I've had my fish tanks empty from a few different accidents and once I switched to the separate sump tank my fish are much happier.  Another solution might be to run a second overflow from the swirl filter back to the fish tank, or to increase the size of the pipe going from the swirl filter to the NFT area.  Without the back pressure from the pump the pipe will need to be at least twice the size to handle the volume. Well im here from Mobay thinking of starting a greenhouse on my roof simple enough hydro setups DWC and Dutch Buckets should be assembling in the coming week planning to run a aqua tank to waive me continuously buying nutrients for plants, thinking of the most suitable, profitable and beneficial sea critters to invest in both to the plants to my stomach and my pocket I'm open for suggestions. Also what crops would be best for quick turn over with minimum room for error or failure?
