With summer’s scorching weather officially bearing down on the DMV, everyone is trying to beat the heat. But according to a project conducted by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration and other researchers, certain neighborhoods in D.C. are considerably hotter than others.

Fort Dupont Park is the best place to hang out in the summer. Much cooler than most areas.
