  • When he holds up the profile picture of the 3 of them, and he's the only one left alive.. that hits hard man
  • @JimDean002
" I tell you what, he was a good hand." Sad that a lot of people in this world today don't know how big of a compliment that is. Rest In Peace Todd

Man, Todd's obit says he was preceded in death by his parents, brother, and sister. That poor guy had a rough go. He didn't seem like a downer, though. Dude kept going. RIP.
  • As an offshore fisherman myself, I can honestly say, there's nothing harder than these moments. I'm the only one of my original crew still on the water, most have passed on, and it never gets easier.
  • @Chiwalker
Man, when it was in fact Todd, my heart broke for Bill. To lose 3 of his guys within the span of like a year is absolutely devastating.

I respect the film crews. They have jobs to record everything, but when the captain's & crew ask them to leave to process tragedy, they comply & give them the space they need. A lot of reality TV shows wouldn't do that. So props to the production folk & i'm sure it's hard for them to knowing these veterans & greenhorns that don't make it.

I never knew Todd, but if you can make a bunch of grown men cry...that tells me you were a good person.

RIP Todd. Bill has a hard shell, but you can tell that one the inside he´s got a sweet heart. You can really see how sad he gets over these losses, especially Nick who was like a son to him.

My father was stationed at Dutch Harbor during the War. He was a flight engineer on a Catalina. Early June of 1942, his Cat was searching for the Japanese Fleet headed for Midway. They received word that Dutch Harbor was getting the duck bombed out of it. The Cats were ordered not to return. They were all on their own. Dad's crew voted to keep searching for the Japanese, even though they knew it meant ditching in the ocean. The very cold North Pacific. As they ran out of fuel, they radioed their final position. Being a sea plane, the Catalina landed on the water. However, it quickly foundered in the rough seas. All made it into a life raft. Three days later, fishermen from Dutch Harbor saved them. They all spent time in the hospital due to hypothermia. But when he got out, Dad got 30 Day's Survivor Leave. He went home and married Mom. What a generation. All thanks to the fishermen from Dutch Harbor. Thanks guys.

I can't even imagine the amount of pain Todd must have felt before succumbing to his injuries. I know it's super late but my prayers go out to his family and friends
  • @boldcitymike
This show is so tough man, you really get attached to these guys and want to see them all succeed and make it back to port safe.. and alive. I’m still not over the loss of Captain Phil, and these never get any easier.
  • @oddieott
The saddest part is the crew he was with had to watch him literally die slowly and couldn't do anything to help. They said he said he was in extreme pain so he was alive for how ever long. Such a sad and horrible way to go. I feel so bad for this guy.
  • @VenturiLife
Condolences to the sailor, the crew, friends, and his family.
  • @sacredalien8011
I love the brotherhood amongst them all. Jake saying he doesn’t know if he could fish again if he lost one of his crew hits hard. These guys can fight and are rough on each other but they love each other like family.
  • @jamesnunya9541
Man the summer bay crew has had more than anyone should have to take. My heart truly goes out to especially Landon and Bill.
  • @rosehill9537
When the stand down came over the radio my heart sank. RIP Todd. Love to those who knew him.
  • @jodieturner3161
After watching "The Perfect Storm", I have a much greater respect for fishermen and their families. R.I.P
  • @kobrapromotions
as chopper pilot I got so much respect for these guys and the coast guard
  • @swissmrkc
