Two observations 1. You really chose the best music, the first song really sets the scene and the way the music changes when Germany invades Russia is chilling. 2. Finland is my boyfriend trying to decide what to eat for dinner.

It's insane to think that 20-something miles of sea kept Britain from being overrun. I had relatives who were lived through WWII and still cannot imagine how stressful it must have been dealing with that for years on end. We still find unexploded bombs now and then, and some areas have bomb craters to this day.

You can really feel the grinding halt the Axis had winter 1941-42, the buildup for the offensive into Stalingrad, and just how exhausted they were by D-Day that everything started collapsing left and right. They held Europe in a grip so tight it basically broke their own hand
