If you've got the new design Sony mirrorless cameras like the Sony A7Siii, the Sony A1 or the Sony A7IV and you really dislike the the included eyecup this may be a great alternative for you!
I've been dissatisfied with the Sony eyecups for years now and finally decided to do something about it. While there are a plethora of options out there, these newer Sony camera designs don't really have as many options. Thankfully I found this company online that produces a deeper eye cup to help block out unwanted light from the EVF that is made of soft silicone AND made specifically for these newer Sony cameras!!

I've had that eye cup for over 2 years on my a7iii. I sold my a7iii and pulled it off and placed it on my a7riiia >>> it's still in great condition! Really great if you use EVF in sunny conditions!

Thanks for this review and I just order one from Amazon Prime to try out. I think the reason why the OEM is so short is so that it would not block the view of the LCD when it is not flipped out.

i am still contemplating between this or the larger jjc eye cup. i like the look of this because it looks more natural and compact. but i wear glasses. not sure if it helps.

I heard that the problem with this eyecup is that you don't clearly see the entire EVF because being 2 cm long (I think) your eye is a bit farther from the EVF, so the corners are somewhat obscured and you have to move your eye around to see them. Is this true?
