Props for not using the typical sad mario image or a image of mario having a greedy look (wario is literally there)
  • Props for not using the image of Mario crying on the stairs Anyone notice how lately Nintendo’s Lawbot department is going into maximum overdrive?

It's so weird that Nintendo is constantly trying to protect their assets.
  • April: xbox becoming third party May: playstation low sales, layoffs abound June: NINTENDO…”im the freaking T-Rex!” - 300+ hiring spree!
  • I did some research for a school project on copyright on games and DMCA claims, and there is a precedent made in a court case that modding counts as derivative work of a piece, and only the original author of the work has the right to make those derivative works, like sequels, updates, or DLCs. A lot of companies waive those rights by allowing mods because it helps with game sales, but Nintendo want's to protect their IPs and doesn't want people figuring out how they make their games because its a trade secret. They especially want their physics engines in Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom kept out of the public eye.

80% or more of Nintendo users wouldn’t care about the DMCAs. They’re unaffected. I don’t know why these are such big deals.
  • Your title freaked me out for a second… I thought it was something else that they did. F in the chat for those mods.

Nintendo have been silent and keeping something BIG Secret before too and they will ALWAYS keep a BIG Surprise, Nintendo will never change because Nintendo is Nintendo! 😅

I’m so glad stuff like this doesn’t bother me.
  • You don’t get to become the most important company in japan with over a century of doing business by being not protective of their IP’s. They survive this long because they know what to do to keep it going. The truth is that we can’t have nice things because there is always someone there that ruins it for everyone. Once they grow lax and give a inch, people would dare to take a yard. They have a image to uphold. And their IP is their most valuable asset.
