talk about a dream theory

saw a twitter post about this originally and I HAD to share about this. its so weird and wacky. oh and I'm trying out a wider voice range for vids like this too tee hee

(this video is more of a joke than anything too btw)

[also, i can’t believe i have to say this, but im not calling this project trash due to the use of ai in it. like, i literally talk about how cool the effect is, i actually like this project. some of you guys don’t understand this despite me praising the video for 90% of it. i just talk about how i wish we had more things like this without the use of it, that’s all]

thank you for trying to analyse my dream :') yeah honestly i only used ai a lot in this because i really just wanted to recreate this dream quickly and not put any effort into it, probably the most stupid video to blow up though (one thing though, i didn't use ai on the camera part lmao, i just flipped the letters and numbers randomly using the scratch sprite editor :face-orange-biting-nails:). for actual projects, we try to use ai the most minimal we can with stuff unless its something we have a skill issue with rn LOL. anyway, i applaud you for trying to make some detailed explaination on this thing haha

they forgot to change their calendar so it just looks like they haven't touched a pc for 20 years

NGL, the use of AI was quite clever as the AI can provide really jacked up creepy images if given the right image. Even if I consider it somewhat lazy, I still consider it a genius concept in a way, and that final Freddy image was creepy as hell.

The contrast between the dark, dingy voice to the light and happy voice was so surprising haha!
  • @bobinator133
wow sounds like SOMEBODY wasnt ready for freddy
  • i love the concept of a supposedly ""cracked version"" of a well known game riddled with viruses thats extremely different from the actual game in really weird and unsettling ways
  • @chewmah
the one time AI's creepy ness is good.

The render of Freddy you see in the title screen is one of the frames in the OG game’s title screen. It flashes along with his endoskeleton when you sit in the tile screen for long enough

honestly bro using ai to make these creepy visuals is kinda smart its not even a bad use of ai either like some scumbags out there to ai can really capture an uncanny valley that i dont think any person can dream up and it honestly sells this entire experience so much more i have seen spooky freddy with teeth so many times this is a whole new look and i love it so i wouldn't go to hard on this guy for using ai on this he still put in effort in editing and stuff its not like he just pressed a button and the video was made for him this had work and its honestly one of the coolest horror things i have seen in a long long time
  • I'm pretty sure the original video upload (before it got taken down by YouTube) stated it was based on a dream the creator had, which definitely explains a lot. Say what you will about the usage of AI, but here it certainly adds to the dream like quality. I think the reason the video got taken down, judging by the creators posts, is that YouTube thought it was either A showing off a legitimate way to pirate fnaf 1 or B trying to scam people (maybe due to the repeated use of a link? I don't know). I also have a strong feeling that the fake game itself was actually made in scratch. The aspect ratio, the way the camera bar was designed, the built in distortion on the title screen, even the font used in most places just remind me of the website a lot.

I absolutely ADORE this creepypasta's visuals, the imagery feels like something you would try to recollect in your head or a dream. I'd love to see this get expanded upon by the creator.
  • The idea of using ai to make something look so alien is kinda neat. It looks familiar yet far away, and i find it kinda interesting even if im against AI art. Another thing is that this struck a cord with me as when i was younger and even still now, i remember having a distinct fear and interest in computer viruses and stuff. As you expect, seeing this kinda captured the same feeling of fear i got learning about these things, as well as the fear of getting one myself.

7:26 Dont say that about him, he's a cutie patootie
  • that image of freddy on the anti piracy screen is actually kind of terrifying, kinda reminds me of the walten files in a weird way.
  • @ItemlabelOtto
You pointed out the fact that the desktop feels more like 2008 than 2014 makes this feel like a dream feels so normal to you while it's happening but doesn’t really make sense when you wake up.
  • @Punykirby
I'm glad there is a video talking about this, I love how random creepypastas randomly popping up has come back after so many years I was not ready for the voice change, that range is crazy
