my struggle with overthinking

i've always been someone that tends to overthink. since my car accident 4 months ago, it's gotten a lot worse. most of you say i come off as really strong, but honestly it's really been a struggle to believe it and live it out. however, i think i'm in a much better mindset now and am ready to start talking more about my mental journey!

i want to start this new series, probably titled "literally br(ok)en" or 'temporarily broken', comment any other ideas or if you like those! here's how i plan on doing it: tell my story in regards to the topic of the video, compare what i felt & how i reacted in the beginning, with how i feel about it now. and then try to outline why i think the changes happened, and point out anything important iโve learned and now believe in. then acknowledge the areas that i still struggle with processing & dealing with. then hopefully people can feel comfortable to leave a comment about what they have to say about the topic. or everyone can respond to each otherโs comments as well if thereโs any confusion, or just to give affirmation. THE POINT IS: so when strangers who are looking for answers or looking for comfort, stumble upon my video, theyโre met with a forum of people offering their take. and maybe it will help them or at least make them feel less alone!
if you know me in real life or you wish to contribute - PLEASE MESSAGE ME! I'd love to have discussions with you & learn from you before I film about a certain topic! also, it'd mean a lot if you could share this video with your friends ๐
thank you so much for your support!
love, rae.

This is one of the most emotional and serious video of Rachel I've seen omg. God bless you and stayyy strongg !! That quote where you said "life is fair because life is unfair to everyone" hit me deep. Overthinking honestly kills tbh, but sometimes you really just gotta fight those thoughts off and it may sound really hard, but it's possible. Sometimes I like to think to myself that everything happens for a reason and it moulds you into the person you are today and everyday is a challenge. There is always a negative side for everything, but sometimes you have to search for the positive side to see it. I also like to think that some things are the challenges that God has given us with to see which paths in life we are going to choose. Life can be so simple and beautiful, but also so complicated and painful. Yikes, it really be like that sometimes xD Keep it up Rachel !! ๐๐๐๐๐

damn rae this video was beautifully edited and so fckng emotional... i'm so proud of you for bouncing back up after the accident... i'm praying for you girl... ๐๐๐

that lighting is giving me the billie eilish bad guy vibes. Im sorry for you Rachel. Remember, everything happens for a reason. If the car accident didnโt happen imagine what else could have happened? If you didnโt get in the car crash, something would still go wrong either if it was small or big. Cause sis my life is crippled! Love you Rachel!

Hi Rachel, this is a very thoughtful, exceptional video. You are amazing. I think before a major trauma we think we know and can control our future. When something happens, we maybe see that isn't the case, start to feel alone, and think maybe no one can relate...Again, such a great video.

๐!!!! im truly inspired by you & i cant wait to see how far you've come!!!!! lots of love

Thank you for opening up. Some of us have gone through the same struggle or have a different story. Iโve definitely gone through the same thing with bullying and suicide. And the question has always been โwhy me?โ, Why was I born with a learning disability, what if I majored in economics? my parents wouldโve been more proud of me. Why is it that no matter how hard I try, it doesnโt reflect on my grades? Life isnt perfect, bad things can happen very unexpectedly and only you have control of how you could react to this. You have the choice to go through it, or go around it and still have to deal with it later in life. Your actions can also be based on your beliefs, some people may have different ways to deal with this, some people discover things and it helped them cope with anxiety. Everyone has different ways to deal with this. Iโve dealt it through discovering ice hockey, and constantly drawing every single day, even if my teachers hated me for it. At the end, I turned my leisure into my career. Lesson for anyone is to know that YOU ARE LOVED and YOU ARE NOT ALONE! Talk to someone if you need help. If you need help adjusting, Iโm here to help. Stay strong, youโll get there and youโll look back at how far youโve gone.

This will be a great series and it will help so many people. It's ok to see a therapist to get you through this. My auntie children went therapy for their mother after she passed away from her accident like this. This help them so much because their grief had them spilling out of control. Your family can help but a mental therapy can help you with so much more. Love you girl and stay strong
