A lot of the jank is charming and almost a signature. As long as it doesn't go completely out of whack, I won't object to it staying.

Palworld is the double bacon cheeseburger of indie games. A game that dispite being different was able to rival the inspiration with what fans wanted. They shouldn't give up, no matter what.

The funniest thing is when your getting invaded by Levanders it says your getting attacked by e-girls

“We only make anime waifus or atrocities and no in between” as someone who made hatsune miku in this game and then a character with a minecraft dirtblock for a head in elden ring, there literally is no in between

To quote some lines from SAOA (ABRIDGED) "OH AND ONE MORE THING... I DISABLED THE PROFANITY FILTER! HAVE FUN WITH THAT!!!" ... ... ... "We're FUCKED!"

32:00 - Adding on to what you said there, indeed Palworld, despite it's rather dark undertones, is very flexible on how you want to play the game. You can really go unhinged quite a bit by getting and doing a few things, but I feel like it doesn't cross that line that goes beyond inhumane/insanity, it's still lovable and cartoony in the end. You can literally become Lily and basically follow her five commandments if you wanted too...except the last two because fusing pals into others with the condenser make them incredibly good as their personal abilities increase, and why should you lay down your life for pals that try to kill you in the process... You're not forced to get and make the meat cleaver, the command podium, and capture humans/NPCs (Though that is more accidental since sometimes they just in your way when catching pals) in order to "win" the game...though I will admit that I'm reaching a point of considering getting the meat cleaver because there's a bit of a trick that you essentially get double drop rewards from certain alpha/boss pals when you catch them because they have the legendary schematics of various weapons and armor, and I haven't gotten a single one no matter how much I either catch or kill...it's quite frustrating, but that's the nature of very low drop rate despite increasing it up to max in the settings AND even having certain pals that also increase drop rate when out of the field... All and all, Palworld is a really fun and addicting game that I've already spent 100 hours playing it, and I even don't mind starting over sometimes while adding certain challenges something akin to WoW Hardcore where you only get one life to go as far as you can, and even throw in a nuzlocke that forces me to discard my pals when they die.

Btw, Lovander wasn't originally #69, you can check their official feature trailers for pals. It was changed based on community feedback.
  • When you pet Katriss she holds her hat down and smiles blushing and is so fucking cute.

Corporations across the entertainment industry these days have proven that throwing money at something doesn't make it better. In this industry, I firmly believe that the more independent you are, the better your chances of giving people what they want. Being different or unorthodox is what people look for. I've yet to play it and just found out today it's on Game Pass. I know where I'll be next weekend. Side note; I've followed The Act Man for years. I love his videos. They're both informative and entertaining. P.S. I really enjoy the format of your channel. Your takes are based and relatable. Just being yourself and rolling with it is the way to be.

I remember watching the trailer for the game 2 years back and I was sold that moment

As a matter of fact, the elements of automatic production are RIMWORLD. The creator also acknowledges this as an inspiration.
  • @WillTBear1
    I didn't know Hangyuu's glider did that...
  • @ethanfreeman1106
it doesn't take itself very seriously, but its attempts to deliver a good gaming experience is very sincere. i think the deciding factor for its popularity is simply that it's actually a very fun game.
  • @corporal108
I can't wait to see all the stuff they are going to be adding in the future!

Imagine a Pokémon Legends game that actually lets you go out there and survive with your Pokémon, build camps and bases, gather materials, catch wild Pokémon for research purposes then cash the research points in training your Pokémon, increasing your trainer level as you go, make your own Pokéballs and so on. Pixelmon, Cobblemon, Pokémon Wilds and now Palworld, they all show that it is possible and that it is what fans want.
  • Palworld has been entirely clear and open about including features in their game "Because Americans like to do this _____". They include things because they understand it will bring in a bigger audience, even if that audience is an outside market, than Japan. They appreciate their potential US audience/customers, whereas Pokemon, seems to not really care about what US players want, and have a "if you like it cool, if you don't, too bad" kind of feel to how they do things.

Part of the reason behind stuff like removing difficulty options and reducing complexity and the like is to cut production costs to artificially boost profit margins. Fewer options=less code=less hours and/or less employees = lest cost to make for same sale price = higher profit margin.
  • Fun fact: There is an NPC that was isekai'd by truck-kun with the ability to summon pizza :3
  • Im looking for the day where my pal can wear tiny adorable hats Or comically huge ones that hide their eyes, either one XD
  • @luveargaia8541
They are missing that Palworld is in the GamePass. THAT IS CRASY
