"One of the most expensive things you can do is know Don King." Tex was brilliant! 😂

One of the toughest men to ever walk this planet. The fact that he had such a great sense of humor makes him that much more revered.

Dude was in the ring for 15 rounds with Larry Holmes. The fact that he can still talk AND has a sense of humor about him shows just how tough of a dude he is.

“Larry was playing an advanced game of tag and about 45min in I realized I was it.” -Big Tex is funny as hell.

This is one of the most hilarious and humble interviews I've ever seen. Randall "Tex" Cobb is a legend for taking so much punishment from Larry Holmes and still cracking jokes. He has a great sense of humor and a positive attitude. I love how he respects Holmes and admits he was outclassed. What a class act!
  • Nobody could take a punch like Randall. All the shots he took over the years in boxing, and he's still sharp and has a great sense of humor. He's 72 now.
  • A sense of humor and humility. What a class act. Too bad we still don't have many people like Cobb in the world today. It would be a better place if we did.
  • Not only could he take a punch. He had better timing and material than alot of comedians.

“I didn’t lose the fight, Johnny. I just lost the first 15 rounds.” I love it! đŸ€ŁđŸ‘

That was one of the best interviews I have ever heard next to Ali. The man said it like it was with complete honesty (including telling people how slimy Don King was), he was funny, and also humble. A true treasure. Tex was one of a kind!
  • Johnny Carson; GOAT! Not any of the juvenile talk show hosts today could hold a candle to Johnny.
  • I met "Tex" many years ago after boxing and Hollywood. He was the nicest, most down home man I have ever met. I will always remember his huge, and I mean huge hands. He talked about the crooked fighting in professional boxing and it was plain to see that there was so much more going on then we will ever know. All in all, a good dude!
  • Tex has always been a great talk show guest. Self-deprecating humor and just an overall friendly guy. No ego at all, and often spoke highly of his opponents in the ring.
  • Randall "Tex" Cobb - Born May 7, 1950 - 74 years today - Happy Birthday!! ❀❀❀

I remember he had one of the funniest lines when being interviewed by Joan Rivers. She asked him if he had any brothers and who was the biggest. He looked at her and said that would depend on where you measured us.
  • How can you not like that guy? According to his Wikipedia page, he eventually graduated from college with honors. Seems like a good guy.
  • I met Tex Cobb at a restaurant in Detroit in the 80's. Shaking his hand was like wrapping my hand around a small Virginia ham. I'm a former boxer and bodybuilder and thank him for his patience with me because I was drunk at the time. Randall " Tex" Cobb - a good and generous man.

This interview alone has made me a fan.
  • My goodness what an incredible sense of humor!!! What a guy.this is priceless!
