I don’t agree with grouping beginners with posers they are two completely different things, one is actually trying to embrace and get better in skating/skate culture while the other is tryna be something they ain’t

I went to a skate park for the first time today and there was a guy trying to do a board slide and when he saw me falling over and over again trying to drop in he came over and helped me. He gave me tips, he held my arm while I went, and he showed me some bail strategies. This made me want to keep going and by the end when I went to leave, I went down a drop as high as 6 feet! Thank you to the guy who helped me.❤

Funny thing is, I skate super confidently and I'm comfortable on a board like it's an extension of my body, I push with grace and power yet I can't even land a shove

there’s a difference between posers and beginners. Some people are just beginners learning how to skate. Posers are people that just skate to get attention and don’t really care about skating.

Idk if this is just me but when ever i take a break, I watch other skaters on my phone to boost my confidence.
