I'm glad that most of the town is still okay, but coming from someone who went to Jasper almost every year as a kid, it does pain me to see the place like this. My heart goes out to all who lost their home/business in the fires.

The horrific toll on wildlife will never be known. It is so sad to see the damage the fire did, and all the lost homes. Bless all of you who lost your home, your livelihood, and precious possessions. Bless all of you who fought the fire, and who are working on restoring power and water.

Hope? want to live in a forest you have to accept that your house will not be there just like those who build on a flood plain and seemed shocked when they are flooded out.

All new construction should be fire proof brick. buffer zone of several kilometres between town and forest. Renewable energy within Jasper Park and electric vehicles only.

I'm sorry what kind of news is this? There's already bunch of news covering this and they are actually there recording and broadcasting what's going on but this??? What is whole point of this news? "Oh I took a video of houses that are not burnt and this will give people hope" is that it?? This is getting more and more ridiculous.

Canada needs a major investment in wildfire fighting. Instead of sending billions to other counties i suggest a new division or ministry that has at least 50 to 100 water bombers and a contingent of ground people to fight this issue, we need to rethink this because its not going to get better
