This is the cream on top from watching one of Chris's pond refurbishment series. Getting to see how it ends up after all that hard work he put into it even with an under the weather period added in when he was not feeling good. That pond ended up a masterpiece of beauty. Chris is a machine when it's time to hit the grindstone. His customer had to have been estatically tickled pink with joy how it turned out. Thanks Chris for posting this one. By the way Chris, I love that flyover and the music selection.

Such attention to detail. That concrete had to be dead level for the flow to be that even around the whole thing.

I’m glad you did an “After” shot with the pond full. It looks magnificent! A big project, but very well done!

That’s turned out fantastic, I watched this one from day 1, & it’s really good to see the end product, thanks for sharing Chris 👍👍

Chris I believe this is one of your best presentations. I often questioned why you didn't bring a dozer in once you found a solid base, or used multiple haul trucks and didn't use more sturdy mats, but you got 'er done and it turned out beautifully. Now let's gets some next-generation mats made.

What a spectacular difference Chris. You are the master when it comes to pond rebuilds, and just about everything you do. You are inspiring to watch.

how did you make the top walls of the drain so perfectly level ? i never had mine that equal. now you just have to get your boots on and take a shovel out there to make those few high spots go away. PERFECT LAKE !
  • All these years I’ve been watching your videos, I can’t remember ANY project that didn’t turn out amazing. Pure rockstar. Legend in your own time.
  • Oh wow Chris, how good does that look!!! This pond needed a lot of TLC, so much crap at the head end. Watching the initial drone footage reminded me how bad the condition of the dam had gotten. There was a couple of parts that just seemed really unstable, like big holes on the back side. Now, the dam is stable & strong, & the whole pond is aesthetically pleasing😊 Excellent job mate. Take care & cheers 🐨🦘🥰
  • Hi Chris many thanks for revisiting the big pond and letting us see how it turned out. great job!!! Be safe!!

I know you have done quite a lot of ponds, but for some reason, this one to me, is the best. So clean, and beautiful looking. Great job Chris!

Watched from the 1st day you started the job. Looks beautiful now. I could perfectly orient myself watching the completion video because I knew every inch of the shoreline. Thoroughly enjoyed the series!!

A truly remarkable achievement. I can only imagine the owners are absolutely satisfied with your brilliance.
  • This was such a great project…we sure worked hard on it with all those different issues we had to deal with, huh?! Love how it turned out. Thank you for taking us back to see it so beautiful & fully functioning!!

It's still weird seeing 10 acre ponds with 2-3' of freeboard. 10' from pool level to the spillway and another 10' to the top of the dam isn't unusual around here.
  • Its hard to Believe that the dam held back as long as it did. I speculate with the rains that just came in, the old dam would have lost the left edge (looking at the pond). Lots of highlights ….glad that your haul truck is working out so well.

Hey Chris, Of all the pond renovations I've seen you do, this one is right on top of the list. Awesome work!

Thanks for showing us the final results! I expect you know, thousands of small dams, many of them on private property, are coming to the end of their lives. Some weren't built right, some are overloaded, and some are just plain old. In Virginia, we've had a couple dam failures, in the past few years, and people have died as a result. Maybe you ought to specialize in dam repair? Not just because they're fun to watch (though they are) but it seems like there's a real need. Widening this dam, and putting in new overflow and spillway, gives me confidence that this one will last a while. Well done.

Awesome work, Chris! Love the style of riser you used and really love the dia. pipe you used on the horizontal section. Seems like the bigger pipe the less force at exit and the less erosion control necessary. Mine is about 2 acres bigger but has a slightly smaller horizontal pipe. It shoots out full force. Riprap everywhere at the discharge. I don’t like it near as much as what you’ve done here. Anyway, love watching your work 👍.
