Beckham could bend the ball, Carlos shot like a rocket, Cristiano with the knuckleball. Everyone has their own style. But only Juninho could do everything.

as a Lyon fan, I litterally want to cry when I watch this, miss this era so much
  • @EGWL93
The only guy that takes freekicks like penalty. I'm glad to see him play beautiful football on television.
  • I saw him grew up in my school in Recife - Pernambuco - Brazil... There was others great players in his age... starting in football indoor... but they gave up to play... only Juninho kept going... Brazil has a lot of young little guys like him but will never archive something like that. Greating from Brazil

The sheer variety, quality and distance he scored from is unmatched. The GOAT of free kicks.

Fun fact: Lyon has won the French Ligue 1 seven times, all of the 7 titles came consecutively between 2001-02 to 2007-08, and Juninho was in all of those seasons. The only season in which he didn't win the league was 2008-09.

1:03 take a look at how terrified the goalkeeper was with his mouth open in terror. He knows Junhino is no joke

Simplesmente Juninho. O maior batedor de faltas da história. Que honra saber que esse monstro fez história no meu Vasco da Gama!
  • @AekPulse
Juninho has scored 77 free kick goals in 500 games ! Today players like Messi or Ronaldo have like 1000–1200 games and they still can’t reach him ! Pure Master

His balls curves twice to opposite directions, also was the float shoot, the ball floats and suddenly drops. Hes unique!

This guy was made for this. Talent from up above 😊
  • That's ridiculous, I watched him play many times with Lyon, what an awesome player he was ❤
  • Juninho, I'll never forget you. Made my childhood so beautiful. I once nicknamed myself Juninho...

Every goal scored by Juninho is probably worth a Puskas Award these days 🏆

He was a god of free kicks. I had 2 favourite players back in the days, Zidane and Juninho. His highlights were always on football TV in 2000s. I used to watch and study his free kicks to learn how to do it like he does. He was a true specialist👍👍

What joy this brings. Unparalleled artistry -- no matter if these goals were scored against your team this should bring a smile or shrug of disbelief.
  • @Rebellen007
This guy was dangerous from the mid circle and towards the goal. Juninho's shots and freekicks were true art.

Thing is Juninho was the most devoted hard working freekick specialist, while everyone was doing anything else or nothing at all he practiced freekicks experimenting shots/angles/distances. Freekick with Juninho on your team became a PENALTY..... guaranteed on target high chance goal from ANY distance.... Best FK ever, by far.

The speciality of Juninho freeckicks are the ball just levitates in the air and it doesnt even spin ,its not knuckleball, almost like it ,but its just straight up levitation. I remember watching his matches with my dad and I was so stunned that I would see all his matches and try to act like am scoring the freeckicks.
