  • 4:10 A streamliner running at scale speed! Nice change from the funereal trains we often see slogging along. Remember, the biggies ran 1000 miles in 24 hours - Council Bluffs departure in the evening, Cheyenne in the morning, Ogden in the evening, and Portland or San Francisco the next morning, and 100 mph on the Super Chief.

What a stunning layout! I can’t imagine the amount of designing/planning and construction time that went into creating this — what patience that must have taken! And the video itself? Perfection — thanks for letting the trains provide the soundtrack... What great therapy after a long, stressful day. 👍🏻
  • Very nice layout to say the least. Watching these trains go down the tracks provides a strange sense of security or normalcy in an increasingly chaotic world. Very soothing or comforting to watch. The trains go where they are supposed to go- down & around the track. If only we humans could learn better to do the same!
  • I liked seeing the Blue Bonnets pulling passenger cars . Never thought about doing this now i think it is cool
  • @mooseriddle
Absolutely jealous. My layout when I had room wasn't even close.
  • @allenarnett8181
I am impressed! Many many hours for sure. Days of planning also.

This is a far cry from the old layout we had when it was the Myakka Valley Model Railroad Club. The club used to have a permanent layout and these modules would go to shows. It's good to see they have improved the modules over the years.
  • Beautiful detail!!! I have a H.O. train layout; 'took me 7 years to accomplish. And I am always up-grading it. Not a nail in it! Real rocks from my creek, and some clay does most of my tressels. I run two tenders up to ten hours a day. Seven days a week...when I am not at Wal-mart or getting to the book store, etc. 'Even leave it running when I play golf out back of my garage, which houses it. five (5) iron out, and a seven (7) iron in, just two holes!

I remember watching videos like this when I was a kid now I’m pretty much an adult and I came back for the nostalgia and because it is still pretty cool to me
  • @SamKri8
It is an amazing set, the details and the meticulous work that you have put in on this is just WOW. 😍
  • @dongeeguy

  • @sd45el
very nice layout, and kudos for educating people about railroads and the way they grew this great nation of ours!!!
  • @scottpool4777
That is awesome very good I couldn’t tell the difference . 40 years and then modeling that is a good beautiful absolutely gorgeous.
  • Wow this looks amazing. I don't have the time to do anything like this . But I always enjoyed watching ppls build's. It's very satisfying to see it all come together. Awesome job ‼️‼️
  • Has the meticulous detail that only a long-standing layout could have. Some neat stone viaducts and bridges, and a speeding Santa Fe Yellowbonnett passenger train.
  • Thanks for sharing, I might take some inspiration notes from this layout.
