I'm glad they said the Michael Jackson vanguard award. They stay tryna erase him. Like hello?? It's his award, say his name. MJ made MTV famous and relevant, they should show him more appreciation.

MJ deserves more credit than he gets, he elevated the platform with artistry and created what you call the music video. RIP MJ

Beyoncé and Rihanna are just so powerful to me. Two beautiful and successful black women, who represent such an important part of human culture. Congratulations Rihanna.

MJ would be proud....they're in completely different leagues but you can't deny that so many female artists have tried and unfortunately failed at what Rihanna has accomplished (and at the young age of 28 at that)....especially being a small town girl from Barbados. Couldn't be more proud of the Caribbean and the 246! congratsss!!

Every single she put out was crazily catchy and massive and brings out a lot of memories related to each one. I know exactly where I was the first time listening to Only Girl, We found love, diamonds and work and many other singles which have kept me company during phases of my life. I can't deny that her Gggb Era deeply influenced me as I was in my teenager years during the period I started being really musically aware. Also the years after that she always managed to stay fresh, relevant and creative with each era, these are the main things for a successful long career. Her voice gets me every time, there's something so special about it that captures you immediately, you just can't resist it. Her looks are one of a kind and I've considered her for many years as the most beautiful woman on earth. If it wasn't for Gaga, she would have been my favorite artist 100%, she still holds #2. I'm happy for what she has achieved and how heavily she influenced pop music with her songs and style. Really amazing career, congrats Riri

I love her she is sooo beautiful and talented she deserves it
  • @snowberryca
She's smart enough for not letting Drake to take her spotlight on the award, she wants the moment for all herself like a Queen!

“My success, it started as my dream, but now my success is not my own—it’s my family’s, it’s my fans’, it’s the Caribbean as a whole, it’s women, it’s black women.” I Love You So Much Rih 😭💖💖
