I am a 60+ year old guy. I have loved football my entire life. I enjoyed playing when I was younger, but obviously too old to do that anymore. When I was in college my friends and I played with a Duke ball and enjoyed it. A few week ago I got to thinking back about that time in my life and it prompted me to do something that many may think strange. I picked up a vintage Duke football on eBay from the period of my younger days, even a little earlier. It is from 1972. I wanted this ball because it has the then commissioner of my youth, Pete Rozelle’s, signature on it. It was deflated when I got it (even though the seller claimed it fully held air) and as y’all may know, you just can’t blow it back up. Since it was in really nice condition and I got it at a decent price, I decided to keep it and sent it to Wilson to get the bladder replaced. They also replace the laces. Now this 50+ year old Wilson Duke football looks like new. Since I am not actually using it to play anymore, just to admire and spin it while watching football on TV, not being broken in, is fine with me. I LOVE the memories it brings back. When you guys get to be my age, you’ll understand!👍

Ever since i bought my first leather football i've been wondering the difference between each ball. I've scowered the internet for information but nothing could compare to this video alone. Keep up the great work and keep inspiring people. This made my day.

As a football fan, I now own a duke and some composite balls. I love playing catch with the neighborhood kids. Thanks for the tips and recommendations.

Bro your content is unbelievably good… I would’ve killed for this when I was a young Quarterback without any guidance!

Another football that’s a heavy favorite in the adult flag football community is the “go team footballs” basically it’s the white strip on GST ball but it’s the entire ball. It’s does suck under wet conditions though. Otherwise great ball for flag

There is a GST composite ball I think takes the cake... GST feel and paint while having the durability of a regular wilson composite ball.
  • I’ve always had a composite leather when i was younger but now i am trying to get. A real ball thank you for this video it really helped my find the ball for me
