The way your dad teaches with reasons behind the action, this is the way I was taught to cook from an early age by my mother. When you know the reasons why something is done, you never forget the process. Yet another superb contribution. Thank you family Lau!
  • @jillmiranda07
Aawww your dad was so excited to show off the new equipment. I'm so happy for you guys. May you have more and more brand deals and sponsorships.
  • @emilygoh2
Your Dad is truly the star here! He's so passionate about his food. Thank you for sharing. Many success to you and family.
  • @janhughes7786
Hello from Wales. I'm really enjoying cooking these dishes. Your father is such an excellent teacher. Thank you
  • @martham769
Thank you so much, this is delicious! I appreciate you pointing out that traditional is better way to describe dishes than "authentic", which is hard to define. I think people sometimes imply that dishes that are not "authentic" are not good or worth eating. It is nice to see you highlight the history of orange chicken.
  • @Donnie3D84
The god tier precision with which your dad cuts the chicken into even pieces is a new level of goals for me as a home cook. So appreciative your dad shared with us his recipe for one of my top 5 all time favorite chicken dishes. Not even top 5 Chinese-American, but top 5 period. Thank you for this.
  • Omg, I can't even watch this, the food he prepares is addictive. This kind, intelligent gentleman is the chef of chefs.
  • Uncle Lau is a treasure. Thank you Lau family for sharing your family history and recipes. Please publish a cookbook.🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
  • @verloser
so basically the Chinese Americans came up with the dish and since then has become a nation wide to international favorite around the world, yes it isn't exactly from china but it does incorporate tastes from both sides so a proper u.s/Chinese fusion of taste and ideas make the best results
  • @stupidanon5941
Just watching your dad cook, listening to his explanations, it's clear he has perfected his cooking craft to a very high degree, and I'm extremely grateful that his instruction is so thorough, on every single step.
  • @masterz734
the way this guy thoroughly explains the reasons behind the ingredients and processes is beyond great. A+ teaching skills. awesome.
  • @jhoon2345
your dad is already at the pinnacle of chinese culinary arts.. when you talk about color, flavour, texture, cuts, outlook.. you hit the mark.. =)
  • @HRHBoof
What I appreciate most about Made with Lau, is not only seeing how talented Lau is, and how he has a solid understanding of just the right ingredients to use, but the full translation by his son. Also, seeing the cooking itself and the textures is fantastic! Keep up the great work, Lau....you're a wizard and a genius in the kitchen! You are so appreciated!
  • @mikehellekson

  • @yatta40
Thank you for the recipe and the history. This video was just awesome. I just finished making this for my family. I am glad that everyone liked it. My house is soooooo picky when it comes to food...lol I wonder if there is recipe for sesame chicken. That is my son's favorite dish.
