On this week's episode of TheFallenState TV, host Jesse Lee Peterson is joined by U.C. Berkeley Ph.D. candidate, community organizer, and Black Lives Matter L.A. activist David Turner. David has been a part of Black Lives Matter since 2014. In this interview, Jesse wants to get to the bottom of why black Americans are really struggling nowadays—what is the root cause? How can the struggle be truly fixed? While David blames institutional and systemic racism, Jesse maintains that the root cause is spiritual and it starts with the family. Don't miss this epic debate between two black men on one of today's most divisive and controversial groups!

When a 71 yr old man is in better shape than a 20 something man. What a mess.
  • @keepupmcgee5099
When someone is being disingenuous, they refuse to answer simple questions directly.
  • @FDupp-og1mi
Imagine being a sane black man, and having this guy speak on your behalf. How embarrassing...🤦🏿‍♂️
  • @tlehman0001
The mental gymnastics these people go through to not answer his simple questions is hilarious. Jesse knows exactly when to pull the 1 2 punch on their circular ideas. He is great at getting them to admit without admitting their ideas are flawed. I love how he does this so simply!

"People aren't poor in a socialist system" Berkley has created some of the stupidest people alive today.

Denzel Washington: "It starts in the home...you can blame the system if you want too" “If the streets raise you, then the judge becomes your mother and prison becomes your home,” “If the father is not in the home, the boy will find a father in the streets,” he said. “I saw it in my generation and every generation before me, and every one since.”
  • @waterloomade2183
He refuse to answer the about 2 parents because the BLM mission statement states "they intended to disrupt the nuclear family".

This is one man who doesn’t let his education get in the way of his ignorance.

I spent 39 years in education. 16 as a teacher and 23 as an administrator. These 39 years of my work, some at low income schools and some at wealthy neighborhoods. Statistically black and hispanic kids got in trouble the most. Again, both black and Hispanic kids underperformed the rest of the student body. As a brown and Spanish administrator, i can say that the data does not lie. Students mostly got in trouble within their groups, very seldom did they get in trouble because of racism. We need to look at culture. Look at Baltimore as case study, BILLIONS have been poured into their city and they still have the same results.
  • This young man is such a victim. He has no chance, and lots of excuses. God have mercy on every young black man who comes under his influence.
  • @mikem3403
Jesse will NOT let these people get away from a question 😂. Great job.
  • @shawnwall5
People like him are damaging the black community. I don't waste my time with these sorts of people..and I'm black.
  • @U.S.A-Fireworks
GOD PLEASE DON'T LET THIS MAN TRY TO COUNSEL ANY CHILDREN ANYMORE 😡😡😡
  • @jupitereye4322
It is incredible to see an educated man so obviously denying conclusions that are so obvious. He asked him about the role of the parents and a stable family with a functioning marriage and positive influence, and we can see how much he is resisting accepting this important part into the equation. There is this paradigm he just doesn't want to challenge at all. That is not an academic mindset, or even an open-minded effort to examine a challenge and a problem. This is essentially a dogmatic approach to coming about life. His goal is to see himself as a member of the "educated elite" and to be morally above the opposing side. He isn't looking to be correct, regardless of what that would be.
  • @jp827855
This guy just came on to prove to everyone that "educated" and "smart" are two totally different things. 👌
  • @victorcruz8420
He went to college to learn how to be a professional victim.

Like my daddy once said, “ the times are changing, but I’m not changing with the times”
  • @samael1981
When someone asks you a non loaded yes or no question and your answer starts with "I think the real question is" or "I think the broader issue is," that is the hallmark of dishonesty.
