  • I take my hat off to you Mr Petherick senior for being there for the kids on this project. At 80 you are blessed to be able to do what you do.
  • @26beegee
My dad passed away 6-25-24 at almost 94. Your dad reminds me so much of mine in that he is still sharp, active and motivated while showing great love and dedication to his family. Aren’t we so lucky to have (and in my case had) men like them in our lives!?! ❤️
  • @SandyD2022
My Mom lived to 93, and she worked alongside her kids her whole life. Your keeping your Dad young.

My dad worked at Bethlehem Steel for forty years before retiring and going into consulting work for another thirty years.
He finally retired at age 85 and lived to be 90.
I’ll be 70 in September and am still working. I have no plans to retire.
    Crack on, mates!
  • Mick must enjoy that wonderful feeling of still being an amazing resource to both an incredible project and his family as a whole. At 72 I still work albeit 2 days a week but it gives me a sense of purpose . The older generation still has so much to give. Mick is fortunate to be able to physically work still. The secret to staying forever young! 😊

Has anyone else here noticed this - since watching your channel and absorbing your impeccable work ethic, I’m “cracking on”. I cleared out a huge cupboard today I’d wanted to do for ages, and I know it’s your energy that’s rubbed off on me.

Your father reminds me of my father, who pretty much worked until he was 84 years old when he died. He raised 10 children was a loving father and husband, and instilled in his children the same value of hard work. Your father was incredible enough of a man to teach you those same principles, and I am sure that you are as proud of him as he is of you. Well done to both you and your father.
  • The labels made me CRY.
Considering I literally dream about volunteering at The Convent, both labels made this old lady's heart happy.
❤❤❤❤ The Pethericks & blessings to all of us fans.
  • As a 73-year-old man I’m constantly amazed by the physical activity that you’re 80-year-old father does. He is a powerhouse certainly spend as much time as you can with them while you can.
  • @ScottIsMyName
I appreciate that you labeled the label machine label machine.
  • Dear Mick, in essence you should be retired but I have a feeling you are loving every second of working with your son and everyone back at the chateau. You are strong and wise with so much experience to offer to your kids. I feel so happy for you to have your family/grandchildren with you. It is the best life. Keep safe and well. Paddy does very fine, quality work, the doors are beautiful. I’m happy Yanis is taking a well deserved vacation. Billy, your tool belt dilemmas were quite funny, but once you learn where everything goes, as you said they are quite handy. Alex, you are amazing.
  • Love seeing Mick wearing the hard hat with a jaunty little tilt! He’s quite the living treasure!❤️❤️❤️
  • @grannyrosie1
My dad helped me rebuild my house after gutting it.
He drve 65 miles every morning to come. Its been 18 years since then, he passed 3 yrs ago. To this day my mind vividly remembers the conversations, the quality times with him.
Mick , my dad always said, when you stop you get old r 6 feet under 😅.
    Wow those doors are beautiful!

Enjoy your well deserved vacation Yennis.
  • @autodidactin
Great seeing Mick and Billy working together on the Library project. Mick has been doing this kind of work for decades, but now he also graciously dealing with being filmed while at it. An admirable and able gentleman in so many ways.
  • Mick works as hard as anyone. Always busy and doing everything he can to help out. He is a fountain of knowledge.
  • @lizsteed8000
Gosh your Father is amazing, 80 years old. I’m nearly 71, & I still use scaffolding to paint the outside of my old NZ villa, I use chainsaws & I love doing it. Great job you are all doing.
  • It's nice to see father and son working together, something I used to do with my father.
  • If Mick turned up at the convent in civvies instead of his boiler suit there would be a lot of long faces, including his own. Like my dad he loves to work and be useful and we love watching him guide everyone. Well done Mick keep safe and well.❤❤❤

Billy, you are just so blessed to have your dad working by your side. Cherish this time! The doors are a work of art. Always great video, Alex. Nice Yanis gets a weekend off, he deserve it!
  • What an incredibly vital father you have Billy. I bow deeply to him!
I'm honnored to follow your project. Great camera work Alex! Have a great weekend and see you next time. Greetings from the Netherlands 🇳🇱👋🏽
