In this video, I show you how to use a shop vac. I demonstrate this with my specific shop vac that I own and use, but the vast majority of shop vacuums work in a very similar way, so you can probably use these instructions with only a slight variance from one shop vac to the next. With that being said, using your shop vac properly is actually really easy to do, and you will likely full understand how it works within a matter of a couple of minutes. It is also important to read the user manual as well so that you fully know about the features and operation of your specific shop vac.

Thank you so much for this! I was able to help my husband out before he got home and got to surprise him with having the job done. I was afraid that I might spray water all over the house so this was really helpful.

Was hoping to learn about the filters. Mine came with two kinds, I think. The manual talks about changing between them depending on what your vacuuming (large particles vs sand vs liquid), but it’s not really clear on how to put them on or when. Can you please do a video on that?

Changing the filter is the reason I clicked on the video and you didn’t show that part 😭😭😭
  • Looks pretty weak compared to mine. You might want to get it cleaned out or serviced it doesn't look like it has any power
  • You were afraid to show the inside. Also you guys need to get someone to hold the camera for you when doing videos. IT SHOULD BE THAT SIMPLE TO ASK SOMEONE. LOL!

Is the air supposed to come out of the air blower hole while I'm vacuuming?
