Having done many old home rehabs, I’ve found that it’s much better to just cut narrow ~6 inch wide trenches in the walls from floor to ceiling where you want to run your new electric cables/plumbing, etc. rather than gut everything and then run new drywall over everything when you’re done with the mechanicals. The finished walls are much more substantial doing it this way and it greatly cuts down on costs and debris. Also, that old toilet that you smashed flushes much better than the new “low flow” versions. Should have kept it!
