Respect to Henry for walking away from Netflix. He actually cared.

"I don't wanna be geralt anymore" this was literally cavils reaction to those writers who actually hated witcher

Geralt is such a wonderfully complex character in the books. Eloquent, too, and way more emotional than he pretends to be. I wish he'd do more than grunt and growl in the show.

This is the actual conversation Henry Cavil had with himself in the mirror when he decided to quit.
  • @Crusthide
that's actually the nightmare Henry had before he resigned from the role XD

one of the things i also disliked about the series is Geralt's and Jaskier's relationship. in the books and games, sure, Geralt was sometimes annoyed by Jaskier, but he liked him and cared about him. the series made them basically Shrek and Donkey, but somehow worse
  • It sucks because Henry was so good for the role, and cared so much about it. I know some disagree but I think he really grew into it

I feel so bad for Henry Cavill; he does such a good Superman and Geralt but the writing ruins everything. Can't he catch a break for once?

It’s crazy how the writers took an epic fantasy tale and spun it into a lifeless drama. The animated Netflix movie was more gripping than the entire 3 seasons of the show.
  • That moment when music stops inbetween the lines of „brought ladies to Kaer Morhen” and „turned into a Leshy”, highlighting the absolute absurd of theese events is pure gold xD

The wig half assed on Liam Hemsworth was the cherry on top

It's funny how mainstream media adaptions tend to turn everyone into selfish miserable pricks. They want to make everything so "realistic" and "relatable" that the fantasy becomes no longer desirable. The world of the witcher is horrible with monsters, famine, disease and curses. Yet the genuinely good, sympathetic characters with a good heart still made it something to enjoy, a world where hapiness can be found. The conclusion of the actor sumarrises it perfectly. Netflix have perfectly created a world with no redeemable qualities.
  • Lately I’ve been reading Blood of Elves and listening to the Sword of Destiny on Audible ,,,, I’ve come to the conclusion that Geralt is actually a really kind person who is constantly capable of mercy and compassion to the people who really need it, tells his kid not to swear, humors people he doesn’t like because he still has manners, and would help a sick woman do her business in the bushes because he’s just Like That. I feel bad for Henry Cavill because he undoubtedly came to the same conclusions I did and still was given so little to work with from the writers of the Netflix show.

That was hilarious when game Geralt said, “Correct….. so far.” That’s probably every fan’s reaction when they get something SORTA right in movie or TV adaptations of games they love. 🤣
  • "We need to make this dramatic somehow. Ciri's life needs to be in danger." "Well, Ciri from the books is naïve and impetuous when she's young. Maybe she disobeys Geralt and unwittingly puts herself in danger?" "No, no, that's way too close to the whole princess-in-peril trope, and worse, it sets her up for a character arc. We can't have that. Oh! I know! Let's make one of her surrogate parents, the one who hunts monsters for a living, put her in harm's way because nothing else will work, while the other actively tries to kill her for selfish reasons."

"This is why I hate portals." The most Geralt thing said in this video LMFAO
  • @NuttyBBX
Bro actually nailed Geralts speech pattern and habits from the game

"This is why I hate portals." So accurate! This is pure gold!
