Gives me chills till this day... For context... Henry was MASTERFUL in a 5-1 win earlier in the season against Portsmouth in the FA Cup at Fratton Park. Football fans never forget... real ones, that is.

I was there. Surreal evening. After decades in the lower leagues, we play the top team in the country & probably the best player in the world. Our chance to appreciate that & how far we had come. In that era it was a privilege to see players like TH. Never before or since have we chanted in honour an opponent as we did that night. PUP ⚽️💙

I was at that game, complete demolition. Pompey worked there arse off, but we're significantly out matched. I remember at the time singing " Henry is a pompey fan" and when the Legend put on our shirt and acknowledged us, it made me feel so proud of our entire fan base. PUP

Henry said portsmouth fans are the best in the country is why. U can hear us singing Henry is a pompey fan in the first half. Also every single clip fratton is rocking. Unheard of let's be honest. Even commentator said Wembley fa cup final were loudest fans in the land during the match. PUP

I remember buying a huge new TV right before this game, with an amazing sound setup. People from a mile away must have heard the chanting from my living room, the fans just kept going for the whole game at full volume. I'd never heard anything like it in any game, Fratton Park must have felt like it was a cauldron.

This was definitely televised on sky sports, I remember watching it live, and 15 mins from the end, Yakubu was clean through and could have ended our unbeaten run a couple of games before the end of the season
