  • What doctors are doing should be illegal. The hospitals have to have a better solution than to work that much. Much respect .

The fact they make a surgeon work this many hours in a row is mind boggling. Makes zero sense. Obviously it’s not your fault. The system is totally messed up. You are amazing!

This video is a prime example of how busy a doctor is. She filmed this during the winter holidays and it is now being uploaded. More power unto you Dr. Sanchez!

Dr. Sanchez, Thank you for studying for years, sacrificing most of your life, and working so hard to be come a surgeon so that you can help us all when we really need it.

Whenever I think I have had a long day at work and I am exhausted and feel like I cannot go on, I will think of you. Thank you for taking care of people.

These hours are not necessary. Maybe in the past they had a purpose but now it’s dangerous and can cause deadly mistakes. No one makes good decisions when they’re exhausted.

It doesn't make any sense to work a surgeon this hard. If someone is going to cut into my body they better be well rested and relaxed. If not the chance of making a mistake is high. It shouldn't be allowed.
  • & AGAIN I will say…. how in the world are football players, reality tv cast making MILLIONS?!?!?! yet the amazing selfless kind hardworking dedicated ones who are putting their lives on line &/or saving lives, not even make much $@all??? not even for all they do!! my son within past year has enlisted in the army & when I tell u what hes already missed out on, all hard work he’s done & when he told me that he makes like $2500 month I wanted to throw up!! Thank God for giving us heros/angels such as Drs police officers nurses military etc…. Thank you for all u do❤❤❤❤
  • Night shift SICU nurse here!! We love our surgery residents. Y’all are incredible. Keep it up, your hard work, I know is not going unnoticed!
  • @celestesalero3334
You are literally such a GREAT ROLE MODEL ! the fact that you are on the go and have time for your family is INSANE!!! your daughter will look at this and be proud of you !!
  • @masterkart7183
You are my biggest inspiration & whenever I am a plastic surgeon, I will still be keeping up with your journey. Super woman 🙏🏽
  • This is why I always ask my doctors 3 questions before they begin taking care of me or any of my family members: 1) How much sleep have you had? 2) Are you running on coffee to keep you awake? 3) Have you had lunch yet? How you answer these questions will determine whether you are capable of handling my healthcare and medicine. I am tired of doctors saying that working 72 hours is inspiring. It is not. You are reducing your life span and your potential to provide the best medical advice and best surgery outcomes goes down drastically. You are doctors and you should know better. Take care of yourself before taking care of others. Besides that, I am glad you recorded your 72 hours to prove my point. Thanks.

I dont know whats more impressive your work or how you mange to sustain work life balance Edit: I appreciate the love I’m getting on this comment I say Impressive sparingly, because on one hand the life style she has is slowly killing her and we shouldn’t normalize it and think its healthy or sustainable for even a second and on the other hand masochism and grind culture is the only way you can justify this work load. Surgery will really break you apart just to build you up again lol.
  • You are a great inspiration, thank you for taking the time to make these insightful and well put together videos!
  • @ejc_8888
Yay, another video. New subscriber from London. My god I had no idea how hard you guys work doing this!!! Huge thanks from us all that needed your service and surgeons around the world. How long can one sustain these kind of hours! Your so inspiring and incredibly beautiful 💖🙏🏻
  • @knzay
Not to be dramatic but 72 hour call should not be allowed
  • @AS-du8hu
I luv that you love the follow up with your patients. This is so me as well.
  • Loved your last comment on how you would love to follow through with all of your patients. That tells me how dedicated you are as a surgeon and you care about your patients and well being. I find medicine fascinating. I always wanted to be a surgeon but life gets in the way.
