I like your point of view. I am living since very long in Berlin. Every country has pro and Contras. You can't compare India with Germany. It's better if you learn language. I speak German. I saw your other vlog with your neighbor uncle living alone. But nowadays you have so many old age homes all over India. Germans are very disciplined people. They respect Indians specially. Life Is very peaceful here. Free education, social security, medical insurance etc so many facilities you can get only in Germany. Some Indian friends shifted England but came back due to very expensive education etc. It's a matter of choice. Ich wünsche alles Gute für euch

I'm in the same boat since a decade now. I can so well resonate with everything you have said. One should consider all pros and cons before making this leap. From my personal experience, always be flexible, don't settle for less. At the end, this country is not the end of the world! Make smart choices.
  • My brother's been living in Germany since 3 years. It is true that the weather and living there is depressing but at the same time there are lot of perks like medical insurance, free education for kids and good work life balance which we lack in India. In India you are expected to justify your work and salary and still get paid in peanuts. India has the potential to be on top only if it has better laws , security and facilities for everyone. To each his own.

Those who have been to Germany or Austria can understand how important work life balance, tension free weekends, clean environment, healthy food are. Yes there are some difference between lifestyle of India and Germany which we are not used to. Language issue is there, like any other country.
  • The only reason I cannot live abroad is loneliness. I have travelled to US and Canada along with other countries. Western countries feel very lonely when I lived there. India is much more lively.
  • @sadhate4567
From USA. I am living in this for last 40 years. But you explain very well about Germany. Good job.
  • @ravigoel4828
Nicely done... You have actually brought out all the reasons... Kudos
  • Germany should allow parents to live with us after citizenship . It is mandatory , if parents will not live with us what is reason for such messy life there
  • Shilpa, 30-50 lacs package is not normal in India. Most of the freshers get 3-6 lacs package.
  • @moulim672
Very nice video, you have mentioned all the points very gently, with appropriate context
  • I have learnt a lot regarding Germany's work and life culture from your video.Your revelation of truth is very much welcome sister.
  • @neetu11p
The situation for Indians, especially young Indians, is not that bleak if they work in Germany. In India an IT employee is expected to work for long hours and wfh has increased the expectations. Salaries on an average are not anywhere near 20 L per annum. And due to the huge young population, the chances of becoming obsolete by the time you are 45 are also very high. Ageing parents of single children should be the primary reason to return, but if you have a sibling in India who can care for them, then that too is not very crucial. At a young age it is not so difficult to learn and languave and assimilate in a culture. At least the young should go abroad, get experience, see the world and then can choose to either stay or come back based on individual situations.
  • Thank you for being very open with your experience & helping others take decisions before leaving for Germany 😊
  • @VivekShri95
Very beautifully explained Shilpa, without any bias!👏👏👏 You are welcome back to our motherland!💐💐
  • @vikramhere771
You summarized everything that I try to tell my friends, about why I want to leave Germany. If you make a decision table on paper, You will moving to India makes a lot of sense. Pehleki baat alag this, because payment was not at all comparable, bt abhi India me 20 lakh bhi kamo to Germany se jyada achhese India me reh sakte hai,
  • @vidyakini5158
You have spoken on actual realities of life in Germany . People normally only speak about showy salaries and homes . Nobody tells you about ground realities. Good video dear . Thank you for a true insight .
  • @1995Kunal
Since more and more people are coming here and as students integration is much better, it would be nice to know how have you been coping up with these problems. Good pay back home is primarily for certain specific sectors but not for all which is why people are coming here.
  • @habeebmohammed5441
