When you're renting you don't want to spend a TON of money because the house isn't yours.     My mom would buy flat sheets in the fun characters that we wanted in our rooms and use them to make curtains, duvet covers ect . This saved so much money .

    The fake flowers in planters was my grandpa’s hack for so long!! He’d buy dollar tree flowers and make colorful arrangements in planters to hang in front of his house! Sadly, my grandpa passed last Summer, and when the house sold in December, my family left the planters hanging. I drive by occasionally and see the new family hasn’t taken them down. It makes me laugh and cry at the same time. Your planters look beautiful! Thank you for another amazing video! Well wishes your way!

    To make ur windows look bigger, hang ur rod a few inches outside the frame. Maybe add an extra panel. Hanging rods as close to the ceiling as u can and having the curtains go ceiling to floor makes a huge difference! Thanks Kallie. ❤❤

    i hung dollar tree peel and stick wallpaper on the wall of my built ins. i did such a bad job that large gaps were showing and for the life of me, i couldn’t get it to align properly. i just went, got my colored pencils, and colored in all the gaps. no one can see the difference!

    Oh ya mean instead of hemming my curtains up with straight pins because they were too long I could have just hung the rod higher!? 🙃 brilliant!!

    Kallie, I used to do so much stuff like this cos the first home I bought I was struggling with money while I was waiting to go back to work. I would do whatever I could to change the look of my home. It was a big 5 bedroom house out of town on 5 acres so it had a fairly big space to decorate and back then I would change furniture around every day of the week. I would always be changing decor or furnishings and I’d do everything as cheaply as I could as I had 5 children, the last 3 were very close in age so I still had quite a while before I went back to work. I loved being home with my children but I needed to do things or I’d go crazy lol. I must have had a better imagination than I have now cos I’d be changing everything I could.
