Imagine sitting by the lake on a hot day and watching a car drive into the water and motor away. Well, that's just what piqued Huell's interest. Terry Tates inherited the Amphibious Car from his parents, who bought it in the early 60s. Huell goes to Lake Castaic for the ride of his life.

    He was great! I 1st watched him interviewing residents @ the Salton Sea. The roads were flooding today in MA & I remembered Amphicars. Didn't know Huell did a show on it.

    But the only catch is, and what you're gonna find unbelievable, is the boat that we're gonna spend the afternoon on is like any other you have ever seen before in your life.

    The forerunner of this car was the Schwimmwagen, which was also made in Germany.

    Huell forcing the poor old man wearing the oxygen tank to walk all the way down the ramp and around the car right by the water. I think Huell got way too excited and ahead of everything and everyone sometimes lol.
