Adam, for me personally your shorts are some of the most useful ones that I've seen. Otherwise, I find shorts to be primarily a waste of time. I'm actually teaching my son the "hinging exercise" short. Okay fine, I learned it first ! šŸ™‚

Iā€™m a guitarist and composer and I just canā€™t tell you how much I appreciate your channel. I feel that Iā€™ve caught you (or youā€™ve caught me) in exactly the right time of my musical development. Your lessons have helped me exponentially in my understanding of music. I cannot thank you enough for the free content you make available to YouTube and I cannot recommend strongly enough the instructions you offer on your website. Just, Thank You šŸ™šŸ». You have changed my life. You have helped me express myself in ways that I have been aspiring to for many years, but have until now been unable to achieve. Again, thank you šŸ˜Š

Adam, this was one of the best piano/harmony video lessons Iā€™ve ever seen. You clearly explained and demonstrated the theory while providing the practical application of it and a cheat sheet that we can practice with later. Thanks too for taking the time to consolidate your recent ā€˜shortsā€™ into one more comprehensive video. Youā€™re amazing! Thanks again.
  • The PDF I received is a Bob DeBoo Pulse Memory exercise, not Adam's Harmony exercise.

Iv'e been following your tutorials on youTube for many years and it has been a great joy in my life. I'm 90 years old and your lessons fill my days with great pleasure. Would love to take your course, Hearing Great Harmony but my budget just can't swing that kind of expence. I'll have to be content with your great vidios.

I came from IG to see if you had a YouTube channel in the hopes that you expanded on the shorts. Itā€™s like you read my mind! Thank you!
  • These longer videos are so welcome! Sometimes I watch your shorts and have no idea what's happening because I don't understand all the jargon. This video helped A LOT in that regard. Thank you!
  • šŸ«” i just realized you donā€™t need to specify the right hand inversion to fully describe the voicings for a lot of this since describing ā€œdrop (number)ā€ with the bass note gives you all the information you need ! very cool. (ie drop 2 exercise is inversion 3 in the right hand for the secondary dominants if you were to un-drop the ā€œ2ā€)
  • Great stuff as always Adam! Glad you touch up on the previous shorts you done! Good foundational stuff to know!!

Everything you guys put out is practical and easily digestible. We all appreciate it ā¤

Such a nice video. Iā€™m just discovering you guysā€™ channel/podcast and I have a whole back catalogue to catch up on. Thank you!

Its crazy, i have been trying to learn these concepts on guitar for years and make sense of them. And along comes adam and open studio and their method of presenting the info as a they demonstrate it in an unfolding hierarchy of complexity and thorough examination of application of the concepts has me making connections i wish other guitar tubers could. Not to bad mouth guitarist on youtube, but i feel like they dont demo enough, or they talk to much around the subject.
  • This is such a great video! I really enjoy the shorts, but a longer explanation video like this is really helpfull in addition. Until this I never realized that it is the drop 3 voicing that makes a lot of bass voices in Bachs music so beautiful.. Thank you!
  • @deedreads
Absolutely great harmony teaching, thank you Adam!
  • Adam, we love you. Thank you so much for all the detail you go into! Shorts are great, but I do prefer when you guys dive into the deep end and explain everything :) it gives me a lot more to work on
  • @BobMazzo
I'd give this 10 likes ! So practical and useful.
  • Wonderful lesson!! So inspiring and unvailing some secrets about how musical colors work. Thank you so much!!!
