  • It's mind-blowing how the concept of plate tectonic activity shapes our world! The theorist behind plate techtonics was destroyed professionally and died in shame. I call it vindication that his theory is now widely accepted🎉

My ship pulled into a harbor in Talcahouna or Concepcion( spelling on both) Chile. My ship was 532 feet long. A few years ago when Chile had that monster quake, that harbor is now dry land. The area rose over 50 feet. I find that just incredible.

This is great information for all of us. Just forget about the millions of years as they never happened.

You didn't mention the earthquake activity around Southern Mexico. Oaxaca has many earthquakes. If I remember correctly, it was 2 years ago at a 9.

This was so fascinating and informative, I'm saving it to my "science, geology" playlist for further research. I've learned so much, it's hard to say what was the coolest! My son was half Croatian, so I esp liked the portion about that area.

This was great but I wish that you would have mentioned the Rio Grande rift in north central New Mexico.
  • what about Quake Lake in Montana where does that register on your fault maps?
