To cut a long story short, I bought a Cintiq and it turns out it doesn't take pen inputs despite buying a brand new pen, so I'll continue drawing on my Bamboo Create. God bless modern technology, and thanks Wacom for the helpful advice of "reinstall drivers".

Total time took 3 days and over 5 hours of footage. This was drawn using Open Canvas 7 and coloured using Paint Tool SAI, both are really great programs I highly recommend 10/10.
